2014 Runners Gift Guide
My list for runners follows what I give my kids:? something you want, something you need, something you wear and something to read.
1.? Want: Tutus by Shelly Rio Boutique on Etsy.
So many of my readers are of the runDisney variety (holla, Princess runners!) and it’s getting to be that time of year to think costumes.? Walt Disney World Marathon is up next, followed quickly by Star Wars and the Princess Half Marathon weekends.?? You know who you are and if you are looking for a great tutu, PLEASE check out Shelly!
She’s offering my readers a 15% discount code as well: use NOGUILT as checkout to take advantage of a little savings.
What I loved:
The feel.? I couldn’t believe how soft these tutus were!? Completely surprised since I was most worried about scratching up my arms.? NOPE.? Ran a 5K with absolutely no problems.? The tutu also stayed put and didn’t budge.? I didn’t even really notice it was there.
Shelly sent me some in child’s sizes too.? Both Claire and #OhLucy got their own sweet tutus!? She can make them in any size- just contact her through her etsy store.
Stay tuned for more information and a giveaway coming this week.
2.? NEED:? NoxGear Tracer360
The sun in Arizona can be brutal.? I’m sure you can substitute the name of any state but I’m not kidding, there is something especially tough about the desert sun.? I try to avoid it when I train as much as possible.
That usually means running early in the morning for me.? In the dark.? Spooky.? And not real safe.
NoxGear sent me a Tracer 360 to review for the Gift Guide.
I do not know why I ever though running without this was a good idea.
What I love:
You don’t even notice you are wearing it.? It’s lightweight, uncomplicated, and clearly visible in the dark.? You have multiple settings you can use and the vest sill last for up to 40 hours on a set of 3 AA batteries.
You can also get a discount until December 15th on this product using code NOGUILT at https://noxgear.com/tracer360.
3.? WEAR:? Janji Running Apparel
Janji sent me a great shirt for inclusion in the guide.? This one is in support of Peru.
I covered their mission before (be sure to read this post for more info on Janji). I still love this company and the gear.
My son does too!? He snagged this one as soon as he saw it.
He loves the softness and says it’s perfect for his baseball workouts.
What I love:
The mission.? It’s amazing what a small company can do for others.? Runners have big hearts and Janji seems to have the biggest!
You can grab your gear at http://runjanji.com
4.? READ:? Audible Books
I’m cheating a bit here.? I honestly don’t read a lot of books, but I listen to them on Audible constantly.
It counts, right?
I’m not affiliated with Audible in any way, just a passionate user of the product.
I download books to my phone and on those really long training runs where I find myself miles from home and frankly BORED out of my mind, I’ll switch to a book.? They are also great for long car rides or when you need a distraction for a marathon house cleaning session.
What I love:
I never get bored.? With countless options and growing every day, I’m able to find something to keep my mind occupied.? Audible also offers surprise sales that always seem to come at the right time for me!
You can get your library started at Audible.com
