Sadness and Bing Bong Running Costumes
This summer I fell in love with the wicked smart movie, Inside Out.
If you haven’t seen the movie, here’s my review from earlier this year.
I absolutely loved this film and felt it gave such a smart insight into our emotions and thought processes. It’s my favorite Pixar movie to date.

Like any good costume runner, I’m always on the look for what could be a great character for my next race. This movie was full of them!
Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, Big Bong, Reily…take your pick and you’d have an easily recognized character for the race.
After talking to a group of friends, we decided to go with our feelings on this one. (Get it?)
Bing Bong 5K
Sadness for the 10K

What I liked about both these costumes is how easy it will be to run in them.
I originally had a nose for Bing Bong, but I spray painted it pink. And then thought I’d be high as a kite or dead from huffing fumes if I tried to run in it.
So that one detail got tossed.
Pretty sure I made the right choice on that one. Ahem.
I’ll post the group photos on Instagram when we all meet up for the races.
Are you running Disneyland this weekend? Who will you be dressing up as?
Looks like I had a great idea! I ran into some of my fellow running costume lovers for this epic Disneyland 5K photo!
This creativity never fails to amuse or inspire me- I love the runDisney running costume community.
How fun was this?!

Your sadness is so freaking cute!!
Too cute! Have fun!
Hah! Great costumes!
Those are really unique and creative ideas! One of my favorite parts of any RunDisney race is the costumes.
