Even though we are pretty well into January, I’m still spending a lot of time thinking about what 2018 is going to bring to me.? I’m totally a sucker for the new year – resolutions and all – and this year is no different.? If I had a crystal ball and could look into the future, there are three things I know that I would see.
Don?t forget to?link up with?Erika,?Marcia?and me?too.

More Races in 2018
I typically saved all my races for Disney – and for 2018 that is definitely not the case.? I am already signed up for two Rock n Roll Weekends (New Orleans and Dallas!) and have my sights on a few more of those.
I’m also going virtual this year with our Run the Edge challenge.
Speaking of Run The Edge? Personally, have already logged 53.93 miles!!!? The Dopey Challenge definitely helped – and right now I am in?the middle of a mandatory two week rest period.
My awesome team is running our (rose gold) ears off and have logged 198.34 miles collectively.
That’s a lot of miles, yo.
More Strength in 2018
Starting in February, I’ll have my kids home with me on Mondays and Fridays. Gulp.
The good news is – my gym has free childcare!!? Well, I pay for it, but since I don’t have to pay for it the day I use it, it feels free.
The plan is – Monday and Friday – GYM CLASSES!
I’m a little tiny nervous about these because I’m super uncoordinated and nervous around people I don’t know.? But for now, the plan is Monday 10:30 BODYPUMP and Friday 10:30 Bootybarre.
I’ve done BODYPUMP before? but have no idea what I’m getting myself into when it comes to Bootybarre!
Anyone care to enlighten me?!
More Community in 2018
One of the words I picked for myself in 2018 is intention.
A lot of my life so far has been doing what’s right in front of me and then just seeing where it leads me.
While that hasn’t necessarily been bad? I know I can do better. So, I decided to try to do more things with specific intent in 2018.? One of the things I want in my life is to really grow my community and my tribe!
So I am getting involved in things I didn’t think I would get involved with. Like blogging with Patty, and like becoming a Rock n Blogger with the Rock n Roll Marathon Series.
I have a few other irons in the fire that I can’t wait to tell you more about? but let me just drop one little photo of the perfect example of what a wonderful tribe looks like:
For the record… Welcome to Sea World is my favorite sign, ever. Second to the Trump one. And Bearded Cap.
I mean come on, if that doesn’t encourage you to finish a marathon, I don’t?know what will!
But for now, I can’t wait to connect with more of you during Tuesdays on the Run!? Drop your link below and let me know what you see in your 2018 future!

Love your idea of more community! We all need the support (and of course the kicks in the pants).

I love your plan for adding strength training! I try to do at least one Bodypump class a week, two would be better. It's the only way I can do strength these days. I used to take a bootybarre class in NH and LOVED it! It was tough and my tight hips got in the way sometimes (ok, a lot of times), but it was a great strength class disguised as a fun class ;) Can't wait to read what you think of yours.

Thanks for sharing!! I'm definitely getting excited to give it a shot. I may actually give bootybarre a shot this week if I can get out there on Friday!!

Gym child care has been a lifesaver for me! My biggest running goal/hope for 2018 is to run a NEW race.

I don't even know what bootybarre is! LOL But, I can imagine your booty is going to be feeling the burn! Which, of course, is so good for runners. :)
Gotta love gym daycare!
Man, you guys are killing those miles already! Way to go!
I'm shying away from too many predictions because I have a tendency to put too much pressure on myself but I can say that I believe I'm going to be doing a lot of new things in 2018!
