Hi, I’m Patty- the no guilt mom living my no-guilt life! You can reach me at email@example.com or @noguiltlife on all socials. I am thrilled you are here to learn about me, a Virginia mom blogger living in the Washington, DC area. I love my kids, my travels, my Disney life, and my Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’m trying to be the best Patty I can be- and leaving that mom guilt behind! Here’s a little bit more about me:
ABOUT PATTY, THE NO GUILT MOM
I’m a Virginia mom blogger embracing her 40s.
You can email me with any questions, story ideas or opportunities as related to My No-Guilt Life at firstname.lastname@example.org
I have been blogging since 2009.
I’m a wife, mom, runner, traveler, event speaker, and fangirl writing from Northern Virginia. Or anywhere my frequent flier miles or trusty 2008 minivan (aka the Vader Van) will take me.
My goal is to be authentic; to be me; to show other moms that you can still love your kids- even when you leave them behind.
Trying to leave the mom guilt and find something else to hold onto as I go through My No-Guilt Life.
My No-Guilt Life blog came about as a way to express my thoughts when I picked up running and the quest for a healthier lifestyle.
I recognized that my health was the best gift I could give to my family, and sometimes that meant being a little selfish with my time to run or workout.
That’s where the “no guilt mom” was born. Topics covered on My No-Guilt Life include Travel, Health and Wellness, and Mom Life.
And pretty much anything that amuses me. Spoiler Alert: I’m easily amused.
As a mom of 4 young kids, things can get a bit crazy around here.
Being “The Mom,” it?s hard to carve out that time for me. But moms: we gotta be healthy for our families, amirite?
Setting that first goal of running a half-marathon was scary, but choosing the 2011 PrincessHalf Marathon made it possible.
22 half-marathons and a full marathon later, I’m a runner. A runner who runs for mental and physical health more than for times, glory or even the bling.
Though I do like a nice medal.
I’m trying to love running one step at a time. I swear I am.
But like my marathon, it’s taking a long time.
I can honestly say that running has given me a community. I consider them my ‘Ohana.
‘Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind. Except for my kids because honestly, mommin’ and running do not go together for me.
Looking for adventure? Me too!
I’m up for anything, honestly, but I’m particularly happy going anywhere there’s a castle or a beach and a killer sunset.
Slap a frothy drink in my hand or give me a Mickey shaped snack and I won’t complain!
With my family or with my girlfriends, there’s a great, big beautiful world out there and I want to see it all.
If I can help you plan a magical trip, please let me know.
You can fill out this form and I’ll be in touch!
My house is full of loud, sassy, beautiful, and hilarious little people: Luke 16, Claire 14, Seth 12, and #OhLucy is 7. (Yes, she’s so amusing that I gave her a hashtag.) These kids keep me on my toes and are responsible for every strand of gray hair I own.
Okay, some of that grey can actually be attributed to our newest family member, Austin. He’s a little weird, but that’s why we love him!
But I wouldn’t change a thing about them.
I’m married to Rob, a (mostly) perfect guy who indulges me way too much in my Disney & Universal theme parks obsession.
He even goes so far as to believe I like to run so that I can justify a trip (or 4) to the Disney Parks, usually by myself.
Hey, this no guilt mom believes that traveling with your girlfriends is a healthy way to live!
Rob is my lobster and a pretty great guy.
And if you need me to help YOU justify a trip or two, I’m here for you.
I started school at the University of Texas and consider myself a Longhorn. Hook ‘Em!
After marrying my Army bound husband and bouncing around a few years courtesy of the US Government, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts at Austin Peay State University with a Public Relations major.
If you need to talk Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., running, mommin’, traveling, losing weight (I’m trying, good grief I’m trying!) or a favorite theme park, I’m the one to call.
