Hi, I’m Patty- the no guilt mom living my no-guilt life! You can reach me at patty.holliday@gmail.com or @noguiltlife on all socials. I am thrilled you are here to learn about me, a Virginia mom blogger living in the Washington, DC area. I love my kids, my travels, my Disney life, and my Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’m trying to be the best Patty I can be- and leaving that mom guilt behind! Here’s a little bit more about me:

I’m a Virginia mom blogger embracing her 40s.

You can email me with any questions, story ideas or opportunities as related to My No-Guilt Life at patty.holliday@gmail.com  I’m the owner of My No-Guilt Life and have been blogging since 2009.

I’m a wife, mom, runner, traveler, event speaker, and fangirl blogging from Northern Virginia. Or anywhere my frequent flier miles or trusty 2008 minivan (aka the Vader Van) will take me.

My goal is to be authentic; to be me; to show other moms that you can still love your kids- even when you leave them behind.

Trying to leave the mom guilt and find something else to hold onto as I go through My No-Guilt Life.

My No-Guilt Life blog came about as a way to express my thoughts when I picked up running and the quest for a healthier lifestyle.

I recognized that my health was the best gift I could give to my family, and sometimes that meant being a little selfish with my time to run or workout.

That’s where the “no guilt mom” was born. Topics covered on My No-Guilt Life include Mom Life, Running, Travel and Entertainment. And pretty much anything that amuses me. And… I’m easily amused.

I’ve also contributed to A Girls Guide to Cars She’s On the Go, a website devoted to female travel.

I recently expanded the team with Sarah Bergman as a contributor. You are going to love her! She’s trying to be a no guilt mom like me.

Be sure to check out her posts over HERE.

I’m a fangirl and I don’t pretend otherwise. Geeking out over pop culture is a big part of My No-Guilt Life.

I’ve been fortunate to cover some amazing movies and television shows for Disney Studios, ABC TV, The Disney Channel, Disney Pixar Studios, and Marvel Studios. Entertainment press junkets include:

  • Thor: Ragnarok Event
  • The Mayor, ABC TV
  • Incredibles 2 Press Days at Pixar Studios
  • Incredibles 2 Event
  • Big City Greens, Disney Channel
  • Ralph Breaks the Internet Event
  • The Rookie, ABC TV
  • Single Parents, ABC TV

I’ve also been known to sing along to Hamilton and quote The Big Bang Theory and Barney Stinson. I’ve seen every episode of The Middle and swear they have my house bugged because sometimes the Mike and Frankie discussions are way too on point.

Leslie Knope will always be my first presidential candidate choice, and I’d move to Pawnee, Indiana in a heartbeat.

A favorite pastime is watching movies with a preference for action-adventures and comedies. You gotta laugh, amirite?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is my geeky no guilt mom passion! I’ve even gotten my children to fall in love with the MCU, which means I’m winning at this mom thing.

The Marvel movies are my favorites. I’m solidly on #TeamCap and think Iron Man has gotten a bit big for his gold-titanium alloy britches.

Oh- and I’m completely in love with Agent Coulson and Agent May.

I told my friends in advance that Ming-Na Wen was the Princess I hoped to meet the most. Mission accomplished- my Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. loving heart is happy!

As a mom of 4 young kids, things can get a bit crazy around here.

Being “The Mom,” it’s hard to carve out that time for me.

Setting that first goal of running a half-marathon was scary, but choosing the 2011 PrincessHalf Marathon made it possible.

22 half-marathons and a full marathon later, I’m a runner. A runner who runs for mental and physical health more than for times, glory or even the bling.

Though I do like a nice medal.

I’m trying to love running one step at a time. I swear I am.

But like my marathon, it’s taking a long time.

I can honestly say that running has given me a community. I consider them my ‘Ohana.

‘Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind. Except for my kids because honestly, mommin’ and running do not go together for me.

My ‘Ohana consists of moms just like me: balancing life with work, kids, travel, and fun. They are no guilt moms, too!

They throw in a crazy costume here and there as well. Perfectly imperfect is how we roll.

Looking for adventure? Me too!

I’m up for anything, honestly, but I’m particularly happy going anywhere there’s a castle or a beach and a killer sunset.

Slap a frothy drink in my hand or give me a Mickey shaped snack and I won’t complain!

With my family or with my girlfriends, there’s a great, big beautiful world out there and I want to see it all.

Let’s go!

My house is full of loud, sassy, beautiful, and hilarious little people: Luke 16, Claire 14, Seth 12, and #OhLucy is 7. (Yes, she’s so amusing that I gave her a hashtag.) These kids keep me on my toes and are responsible for every strand of gray hair I own.

Okay, some of that grey can actually be attributed to our newest family member, Austin. He’s a little weird, but that’s why we love him!

But I wouldn’t change a thing about them.

I’m married to Rob, a (mostly) perfect guy who indulges me way too much in my Disney & Universal theme parks obsession.

He even goes so far as to believe I like to run so that I can justify a trip (or 4) to the Disney Parks, usually by myself.

Hey, this no guilt mom believes that traveling with your girlfriends is a healthy way to live!

Rob is my lobster and a pretty great guy.

And if you need me to help YOU justify a trip or two, I’m here for you.

I started school at the University of Texas and consider myself a Longhorn. Hook ‘Em!

After marrying my Army bound husband and bouncing around a few years courtesy of the US Government, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts at Austin Peay State University with a Public Relations major.

If you need to talk Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., running, mommin’, traveling, losing weight (I’m trying, good grief I’m trying!) or a favorite theme park, I’m the one to call.

Feel free to email me at patty.holliday@gmail.com
