I’ve been waiting not-so-patiently for more news about Mary Poppins Returns. And I know I’m not alone!
We passed the 100-day mark not too long ago, and my Facebook friends chimed in on their excitement as well.
The original was one of those movies that my oldest son, Jacob, watched on repeat at home. He loved the penguins, he loved the dancing, and he thought Bert was hilarious.
He wasn’t wrong to love any of those things, of course. Smart kid, my Jake!
So this movie? It has a lot of mom feels going on for me over here when I think about how much Jake would have loved to see Mary Poppins Returns.
We’re all so ready for the next adventure with our favorite nanny!
You can’t always count on running into her on a runDisney race course (though I’ve lucked out a few times on that account!)
And our patience has been rewarded with a new poster, a new trailer and some new stills from the movie.

I watched this one about eleventy bazillion times before I stopped tearing up over it!
That’s a lie- I am still tearing up over it.
Dang,?y’all- doesn’t Emily Blunt make a spit-spot perfect Mary Poppins?!
I love her voice and her mannerisms- and the perfectly timed British clipped one-liners!
And I never ever ever mind seeing Lin-Manuel Miranda or Dick Van Dyke dancing (and you could spot just a smidge from both of them in this one!)

I love the whimsy of this Mary Poppins Returns poster- and I spy our family faves, the Penguins, in this one too!
I have a feeling that this movie will be the not-so-surprising hit of the holidays; perfect for both young and old.
