Dear teachers & public school workers,

Without you, I’d be a big puddle of weepy mommy guts every day.

I salute you and hope your year is as wonderful as your “summers off” – I promise.

I’m in FULL agreement with Dena here in the video. Because she’s basically every mom who knows just how amazing back-to-school time can be.

For the parents, of course.

Small confession from this mom: back to school is kicking my booty this year.

While I’m celebrating with a mimosa in one hand, I’m eating half a pie with the other in an effort to drown my sorrows.

School starts soon and I’m a puddle of mush already.

What’s bringing me down?

Two kiddos in the “big school.” And two off to college.

All of them are taller than me now and my daughter wears my shoes and some of my less mom-ish clothes.

Middle school and high school is hard, and I’m equally excited and terrified for myself.

I mean, them.

For them. Ahem.

And super sad that I’ll be losing more of them to the world in just a few short years. Sob!

But that’s a post for another day.

Mommin’ ain’t easy, my friends.

For now: let’s celebrate back to school for those starting this week with some laughs.
