Blogger Down

Sharing is caring!

Not really down but I’m going to be out for a while.  It’s finally THAT TIME for Family Shenanigans.   We are headed west!

This week we have packers, movers, painters, cleaners, trucks and travels going on.   Oh Boy.

I’m sure I will be “around” since I have this Internet addiction. True story- I went 4 whole hours without access last week at Disneyland.  It was pure hell.  Torture.  I had the shakes.  I resorted to begging my friends to read Facebook to me so I had some idea just WHAT was going on.  Yes, I know.

My name is Shenanigans and I have an Internet addiction.

All this is to say:  I doubt I will be able to post much this week.  A good blogger would have posts ready to go and waiting on the calendar so no reader goes without their special brand of awesome for too long.

Welp.  Y’all know me better than that.  I got nothin’.  I’m usually winging it around here.
Anyhoo… Tinker Bell was a blast. Be sure to check in with my recaps on both the 10K and Half.  I can’t wait to see everyone again at Princess in less than a month!  Eeeek!  How is it coming on so fast?  But I’m super pumped about earning some new bling.  All these pretties will soon have a new home.  In the meantime you can read all about my Princess Half last year- which included the pay off for stalking, er, making new friends online.

What is your training plan for princess? Any tips for someone short on time for long runs? (Hint- that’s me!)

  1. As crazy as it sounds, I’ve been doing a couch to 5K program and it’s made the long runs easier, and it’s never longer than 31 minutes, 3 days a week. You could probably skip ahead to week 3 or 4 and at least get in a few quality runs. I’ve even been doing it on a treadmill *gag* but I know that’s your thing if it’s not packed… I AM doing a long run this weekend for Princess training, but I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to make it. 🙁 Only time will tell. Not shirking my training though because if I don’t make it, the Little Rock Half Marathon is the weekend after and I’ll sign up for what’s available as substitution.

    1. I like that idea- C25K is my friend for sure! And good for you- throwing a half in to “assure” you get the long run in. Smart Leslie! Good luck- see you at Princess!

  2. As a girl that spent 15 years in Arizona growing up, I am VERY excited for you! Besides having great weather most of the year, that 7 hour drive to San Diego (or Anaheim if one is so inclined) works quite nicely when it’s 120 out:). Good luck with the move!
