This week we are chatting about that ol’ bucket list.
Where is your dream race?
Which one holds the highest level of “WANT!” in your running world?
If you have a bucket list race, share with us!
Bucket List Race
I do not dream of Boston or New York or London. At least not in the traditional runner community sense.
I would love to be a spectator with an epic sign at one of those races, that’s true. But actually running them is not on my radar.
I think as far as a bucket list, my wants are pretty simple.
I’d love to run the Disneyland Paris races. The reports were pretty glowing for the inaugural year, citing the course and the cast member support as top notch.
The countryside miles look absolutely lovely as well.
I could get down with covering some peaceful KMs cout here!
My other bucket list race would be a downhill canyon run.
One that sounds pretty amazing is the Big Cottonwood Half in Utah.
A friend ran this one a couple of years back and reported two things that peeked my interest:
1- She felt like she was flying! There’s something to be said for gravity when you are letting it pull you 13.1 miles downhill. I mean, check this elevation chart!
If that’s not a dream race, I don’t know what is!
2-?The canyon itself is simply gorgeous. The pictures do not do it justice, she said.
Wow. I might even be able to forget I’m running if I was surrounded by this beauty for all those miles.
Do you have a bucket list race that you’d like to run someday? Which one?
