Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day With Cherry Blossoms | Tuesdays on the Run

Tuesdays on the Run Link Up- every Tuesday we have a new running related topic. Join your favorite running bloggers in linking up each week.

St. Patricks’ day is on Friday.

This week on Tuesdays on the Run we want to know what plans you have for the holiday! Are you running, dressing up, staying in? How does your St. Patrick’s Day weekend look.

Don’t forget to link up with Erika, Marcia and me this week.

Calendar of topics for March:

  • March 7 – how do you create your race schedule
  • March 14 – Talk to us about St. Patrick’s day – do you have traditions, a favorite race, a costume you’ll be wearing?
  • Mar 21 – Sell us on your favorite local race. What do you love about it and why should we come run with you?
  • Mar 28 – Rate your month (and tell us if you want to keep this topic)

St. Patrick’s Day Plan

We don’t really have one.

I’ll make corned beef, carrots, and potatoes. Probably color the kids’ milk green because they think that’s fun. But that is the extent of my crazy plans.

I don’t dress up or run the themed races. If the temps go up enough and the snow melts, this Goldilocks will get out and complete the scheduled C25K training that day. But that’s really it.

So pretty much… I got nothing today!

Oh, wait- if things aren’t too cold I might head out to DC again to see the Cherry Blossoms. I’m not super hopefully much will survive the freeze and snow as far as blooms, but who knows? Maybe it won’t be that bad. And that would be a perfect place to complete my St. Patrick’s Day C25K run.

So I don’t have Shamrocks- but here are some pretty Cherry Blossom pics instead.

I do look forward to hearing what YOU have planned! Tell me what’s going on in your hood!

But much like her marathon, it’s taking a very long time. Ahem. She's searching for the perfect way to balance family, work, travel, and fitness. Perfect defined as high on fun, low on guilt.
