If you’re a fan of messing up your or your kids’ sleep cycles: you probably love it when Daylight Savings kicks into gear every Spring. Ahem. But some of us- most of us? all of us?– love the whole Fall Back thing and look forward to the day it all comes to an end. And that time is coming soon, friends! We’re celebrating with these end of Daylight Savings Day memes in 2022! Remember to push your clocks back 1 hour before you go to bed on November 6 if you live in an area that participates. (We know, Arizona. We know.)

What Is Daylight Savings Time?
As suggested by Benjamin Franklin, Daylight Savings Time was a way to make the most of daylight hours and economize the use of candles.
Makes sense coming from the man who said, “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.”
In the US, we set the clocks forward 1 hour every spring in order to take advantage of an extra hour of daylight through the summer months.
In the fall, we move the clocks back to standard time and enjoy an extra hour of sleep.

To make things more confusing, not every state in the USA participates. So if you are a traveler, you may need to double-check your time zone as you head through the summer.
Do we still need to do this in this day and age?
No, no we do not. But here we are, getting ready to Fall Back anyway.
And thankfully smartphones do all the heavy work for us but don’t forget the car clocks and microwaves that still need adjusting.
And at least we can make some funny jokes about it!

When Is Daylight Savings Day In 2022/2023?
We started Daylight Savings Time on March 13, 2022.
We’re ending it on November 6, 2022.
But don’t worry- it will be back again on March 12, 2023!
