Breaking news from D23 Expo Japan: Disneyland Pixar Pier opening date announced! Mark your calendars and start your summer Disneyland travel planning because you won’t want to miss the Incredicoaster?and more.?Bring on the Pixar love!
A few weeks ago I geeked out a bit over the news that Disneyland was retheming Paradise Pier and turning the area into a celebration of all things Pixar.
Top at the announcement was that California Screamin’ would soon become the Incredicoaster at Pixar Pier.
We now have an opening date!
Disneyland Pixar Pier Opening Date Announced At D23 Expo Japan
If you want to take a ride on the newly themed coaster, book your next Disneyland vacation after June 23, 2018. This is the news that was just announced at D23 Expo Japan, and I?cannot wait to see how this all shapes up.
Check out the artist rendition for the entrance to the pier. Luxo Jr. on top?
I die!
This summer is going to be a can’t miss on at the Disneyland Resort- and I’m super regretting the east coast move with all this news!
Pixar Pier Attractions and Experiences
In addition to the new Incredibles themed coaster, there’s going to be an Inside Out attraction that I’m sure we will have all the feels over.
No details just yet on what this might look like, but I’m waiting not-so-patiently for them.
Speaking of all the feels- I do love Paint the Night Parade!- and it’s coming back on April 13 to celebrate the opening of Pixar Fest.
It had been rumored to be going to Walt Disney World, but in the end, Disneyland remains it’s home. It’s just moving across the esplanade?to Disney California Adventure.
An Incredibles float will be added in June to the parade to coincide with the Pixar Pier opening and INCREDIBLES 2 in theaters.
Disney California Adventure was quickly becoming my favorite place to hang out with all the Marvel additions, but adding Pixar to the mix is just solidifying it’s rapid rise to the top!
Are you excited about this news? I need runDisney to bring those races back ASAP so I can get myself back to the west coast.
