This summer has been one with tons of adventures for my family.
One of our favorites was taking on CityWalk and Universal Orlando as part of the Family Forward blog conference.
When we go to theme parks, we put miles and miles on our legs.
It’s a fun work out (I mean, Racing Through New York & Escape(ing) from Gringotts isn’t easy!), but it’s an appetite building work out for sure. Refueling is serious business- ?my family (and yours!) relies on it for the next big adventure.
I’ve got my top 7 don’t miss Universal Orlando And CityWalk Appetizers for you to choose from when it’s time to grab some grub.
7 Don’t Miss Universal Orlando And CityWalk Appetizers
DON’T MISS AT THE COWFISH
I gotta start off with my favorite restaurant on property. The Cowfish has an amazing menu and there are three things that are standouts on the appetizer list for me.
1. Crinkle Cut Fried Pickles
I legit have dreams about these pickles, and I’m not even a huge pickle fan!
But there’s something about sweating all over a theme park that makes my body crave the salty goodness that a fried pickle plate can bring.
2. Parmesan Bacon Truffle Fries
Cheese? Good! Bacon? Good! Fries? Good!
Really, how can you even consider passing these bad boys up?
3. Crab Rangoon Dip
This is heaven on an app plate, my friends!
If you enjoy seafood but also really enjoy dipping things, this is a perfect marriage of the two.
Don’t pass it up because you will have regrets.
DON’T MISS RESORT POOLSIDE NACHOS
At Universal Orlando, guests staying at the onsite hotels?discover that pool hopping is totally allowed. And I encourage it!
How else are you going to find two of the best nacho plates ever created?
4. Loaded Nachos
This one can be found at the Beachclub at the Hard Rock Hotel.
Nachos & a poolside beer are pretty much the American way.
But you don’t have to be an American to enjoy it- what a country!
5. Shipwrecked Loaded Nachos
The Royal Pacific resort pool has some of the best drinks I’ve had in a long time.
Just strong enough to make a momma happy at the end of the day without making her regret it in the morning.
You can get the Shipwrecked Loaded Nachos (big enough to share at least 3 ways) at the Bula Bar & Grille.
Grab a Perfecta Margarita… and you are welcome. Cheers!
DON’T MISS AT ANTOJITOS AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD
6. Guacamole
This tableside prepared guacamole was as delicious as it was fresh.
As an avocado fan, I can make a meal out of some good guac & chips and this tasty dish one gets BIG thumbs up from me.
DON’T MISS AT NBC SPORTS GRILL & BREW
This location in CityWalk is fabulous for people watching.
Ask for a table close to the walkway and you’ll see what I mean.
It also boasts a ginormous menu: if you have picky eaters, this is your go-to place because literally, everything is on the menu.
7. Large Warm Soft Pretzel
This pretzel is the size of your face. I mean, it’s YUUUUGEEE, people!
And just as advertised: warm and soft. Carb up and Universal on.
Guys: ARE WE THERE YET?! My mouth is watering already.
I’m #ReadyForUniversal, are you?!
