runDisney Early Registration for Annual Passholders

I hold one of these beauties:

It allows me daily entry to both the California parks and the Florida parks 365 days of the year.? I love being a Disney Annual Passholder and all the perks that come with it!? Discounts on dining and merchandise helps offset the hefty price tag.

One of the best perks is early registration for runDisney events.

As most of us know, these races sell out, and sell out fast.? Last year the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge sold out in less than an hour once the public was able to register!? I happened to register early at the Tinker Bell Expo, so I was able to get in easily.

Perusing the Annual Passholder page on the Disneyland.com website I found this excellent information for us passholders.

The big dates to note are the ones listed for Dumbo Double Dare Challenge and Tinker Bell Half Marathon.? As you know, the Tinker Bell race has been moved to Mother’s Day starting in 2015 so now we know when registration will happen.? Mark your calendars and clear your Visa so there’s room to register for Tink in August!

ETA:? July 9 is the Early Registration for AP Holders for Princess Half Marathon.? This information has been updated since it was first reported.

  1. Thank you so much for these dates!!! Book marking now. I have a Disneyland AP- do you know if I’ll be able to register early for the WDW races?

    1. According to the dates on the DL website, I’d say yes! If it was only for DL pass holders I’d guess they would just list DDD and Tink.

    2. I’ve seen reports that it doesn’t work that way though Kim. I know when I called in the past, the folks at runDisney weren’t really sure either. I’ll try to get clarification again though!

    2. That is what I was thinking too, Julie! I don’t have an AP, but I should know what my housing situation will look like by then so when general registration opens I will know if I can go or not.

  4. Now the question is, is it worth it to renew my Disneyland AP in order to get early registration for Tink? I think it expires in April or May. I only got it this year because I was going to have out of town visitors and I knew I’d be going to the park a few times, but I’m liking the registration benefits…curse you Disney for your invasion into my bank account!!!

    1. hahaha! I know. I am debating the Premiere again or just DL AP. I’m not sure I’ll be back to WDW in 2014 after PHM, and my current AP covers PHM. I might be going back for W&D but not 100% sold on it yet.

  5. I’m a DL annual passholder and the only time I’ve been able to use it to register early is to find the link at the Disneyland Annual Passholder Facebook page. Sadly, I have yet to see it offered on the DL offers page. I was a Premiere passholder last year and that was the only time I saw DL runDisney races being offered for early reg.

  6. I have an annual pass and had so much trouble doing early registration for Princess. I waited to book for the first day it opened because i just couldn’t figure it out. I seem to have an issue with using my AP online… but that might just be me. Thanks for sharing these dates!

  7. Thanks for posting these dates! We are planning on going to WDW during the 2015 marathon and can book our DVC home resort in February. My brother is running the marathon and I might be running the half marathon!

  8. I wish I was able to go to Disney enough to get an AP, but thank you SO much for posting this info!! I was curious around when Marathon weekend and Wine & Dine weekend registration would be starting 🙂

  10. I’m Disneyland AP holder and I was wondering if you know how many people you can register per AP? Is it only 1 or can you register your family and friends as well?

    2. Did you try registering for more then just yourself? I just registered but my sister isn’t a passholder and wants to sign up too. I didn’t know if it would work tho.
