EPCOT Neighborhoods: What You Need to Know!
Get ready, EPCOT, change is coming! We’ve got the rundown on what to expect from the EPCOT Neighborhoods and the massive multi-year renovation of the entire park. What’s coming and what you need to know and the changes at Walt Disney World Resort’s EPCOT.

One of the biggest announcements at this year’s D23 Expo Parks Panel was the massive list of changes coming to Epcot.
Basically, the park is going to be broken up into four distinct neighborhoods: World Showcase, World Celebration, World Nature and World Discovery.
I love this because I have always felt like Epcot is a disjointed park… but I wanted to go into a little more detail as to what exactly to expect out of these neighborhoods.

EPCOT Neighborhoods: World Showcase
World Showcase will continue to be a celebration of culture, cuisine, architecture and traditions – infused with new magic.
This area of the park is ultimately staying the same, with some pretty neat additions. The addition of a Brazil pavilion was rumored but hasn’t been announced yet.
What we are getting is an attraction inspired by Mary Poppins with the addition of Cherry Tree Lane in the UK pavilion.
We’re also anxiously awaiting the completion of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in France, along with a new restaurant from celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse.
Plus, we have a new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along coming in 2020!

Right in the middle of the action, there is a new nighttime spectacular called “HarmonioUS” and it supposedly the largest ever created for a Disney park.
Stay tuned for more info on this, set to premiere after the limited run of “Epcot Forever“.
Canada and China will be getting new Circle-Vision videos, which could be cool. I promise to check them out and report back on those.
EPCOT Neighborhoods: World Celebration
World Celebration will offer new experiences that connect us to one another and the world around us.
SPACESHIP EARTH. Buh-bye Dame Judy Dench… you’ll be missed!
The main scenes are supposed to stay intact, but a new story is going to be told. The exit of the ride is going to change significantly as well, with the introduction of Dreamers Point featuring a breathtaking view of World Showcase.
We’re getting a new statue of Walt Disney, a wishing tree in an enchanted forest, a story fountain- just so many new additions.
Let’s just skip over the fact that we’re most likely losing our Bubblegum Wall. Disney Instagram Walls will never be the same!

A new three-level pavilion will be the new “home base” for festivals, and really now I am just brainstorming all of the other festival ideas I can pitch to Disney so it’s festival season 365 days a year.
EPCOT Neighborhoods: World Nature
World Nature is dedicated to understanding and preserving the beauty, awe, and balance of the natural world. It will include The Land and The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilions.
The big one – MOANA!
I’m still not even 100% sure what exactly this IS but I am okay with that.
Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana” is an “exploration trail” that invites you to meet and play with magical, living water. I’ve got high expectations for this one, Disney, don’t disappoint me!

The land pavilion is getting a new film “Awesome Planet” that will debut in January 2020.
We have the least amount of info on this one but it looks like Living with the Land is safe, which I know my husband is extremely relieved about.
EPCOT Neighborhoods: World Discovery
In World Discovery, stories about science, technology and intergalactic adventure come to life.
This one’s big. HUGE!
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!
I’m so excited about this I can barely stand it. This coaster will rotate 360 degrees and is the first coaster to introduce “reverse launch” … whatever that means … I’M SO PUMPED.

Mission SPACE is introducing a new restaurant, that now has a name, Space 220. You board a special elevator that takes you up (220 miles, to be exact) to a space station that is waiting with an incredible dining experience.
Disney is also putting together a PLAY! Pavilion, set to open before the 50th Anniversary of WDW. This will be perfect for the little ones, an area packed with games, activities, and experiences. Help Eda Mode with fashion emergencies, compete in a water balloon fight with Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby… the possibilities are endless with this one.

And just to get you even more excited about the changes, you’ll be able to take a MUCH closer look at everything on October 1st, when Epcot opens the doors to “Walt Disney Imagineering Presents the EPCOT Experience” in the Odyssey Events Pavilion!
