Fall Racing Schedule
I’m keeping this super simple this fall.
I’ve got some travel going on that’s going to keep me from running more often, and I’m ok with that.
If you’re following me on Twitter you might notice the #ThorRagnorokEvent hashtag is getting some play from me.
That’s because I’m going on an AMAZING trip this fall (details coming soon!) and I pretty much can’t stop talking about it.
Errr, tweeting about it.
Follow along if you’re as excited as I am for the new Thor: Ragnarok movie!
That being said— there’s one race weekend scheduled and it’s not happening until mid-November.
That’s where I’ll reunite with my bae, Thor, and we will run the Disneyland Thor 10K together.
Well, I won’t run with him, but I plan on seeing him there!
The Disneyland Super Heroes weekend races are?the only races I’m keeping on my calendar this fall because I am still obsessed with all things Marvel. Duh.
I’m running the 10K and the half?that weekend and retiring my half marathon running shoes at that event.
I’ll take my Black Widow inspired medal and sore legs and close the half marathon chapter of my life.
And that’s it until January!
I really need to spend the time in the gym working on cross training so that’s where my focus goes once this race is over.
It’s not a lot, but I’m satisfied with the plan.
I hope to run a few local events in the spring, though! We’ll chat after the winter gym work and see how that works out.
What’s on your calendar?

I have also planned to join in the gym! Haven't been in over 8 years! PS: I love the new look of your website/blog!

Thank you! I'm loving it too. And yes, the gym is a must for me at this point. Gotta get in there!

What??? Your giving up half marathons? Half marathon training definitely is a commitment. I'm definitely slowing down with that distance and looking for more "manageable" distances..haha

Yes maam! I'm ready to lose some weight (the same old story- lol but for real this time!) and half training keeps the weight on. And adds some. Ahem. Anywhooo... lol

I have RnR Vegas, and then maybe a 5k to keep me in shape leading up to Christmas. I'll spend a bit of time doing strength training too, since that's been the norm for my off-season prep.

Good for you! I totally need to be more consistent in the gym. It's been a downfall here for years. I go in spurts!

I will be doing a lot of rehab over the winter as well.....I gotta get back to a more consistent strength-training mode.

rehab sucks, but the gym should help you out I'd think!

That sounds like a good plan! Winter is a great time for focusing on strength and cross training.
