I gotta admit: I haven’t bought anything new for running in over a year.

A YEAR.

My watch is still good.

My phone works fine.

My headphones are serviceable.

And my Hokas still have a few miles left on them.

I guess that’s what happens when running takes a back seat to other passions. You find your money being spent on other endeavors rather than on the sport.

I kinda miss the purchases, but I’m pretty sure my visa does not!

I am looking forward to reading what you guys are buying, especially when it comes to winter gear.

I’m struggling to get through October (it’s been a fabulous month for me, don’t get me wrong, but that means it’s also been crazy busy!) but don’t have a lot of travel planned for November and December.

So that means I can and will be running.

Side note about November:? Remember that half marathon in November? Yeah, it’s not happening now.

I did the charitable thing and passed my (legally transferrable bib) off to a friend who wanted to run it more than I did. Annnnddd… I just wasn’t training like I should. So this is better for everyone.

Sometimes it’s best to know when a DNS is the smarter move.?

Ah well.?

I’ll still be doing the 10K at Super Hero’s weekend, though. Gotta get all the Thor swag I can!

Back to November & December… since we have such great trails around here I want to get out and do it in the real world.

I know there is a great trail over by Mount Vernon that I have yet to run on (and it’s a long one!) so that’s on my list this winter.

So hit me up with your favorite cold weather products that you are buying lately!

But let’s keep it real: I’m not running IN the snow, so I don’t need those cool Yak Tracks or whatever they are called. Just all the gear to keep me toasty warm!

I have not purchased anything running related in awhile. Now that the holidays and my birthday are coming up, I like receiving running attire as gifts.

I recently bought a new pair of Mizuno Wave Rider's, but they're a very old model that I love!

At the moment I have bought a couple new things, but I don't run in the snow either. My new clothing items are great to be lazy, in the house.

I haven't bought cold weather gear in a while because I don't really need it here in TX. I have sweater envy. :) Good call on the race transfer if you weren't feeling it.

I'm in Iowa and have been winter running (in plenty of snow) for over 12 years....and still have not bought the Yak Traks. Why? I run on the streets, and although there is plenty of snow, there's also patches of (cleared) pavement...and I don't think the YT's would be very practical for pavement pounding (even if it was occasional). Now, if I was out on the trails, that would be a different story...Anyways, favorite cool weather gear must-have---arm warmers!!
