First Look: The Lion King Teaser Trailer on Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to us! Disney decided to send us an extra helping of awesome this evening with the first look at The Lion King teaser trailer and the first Lion King poster. My Lion King reaction video is at the end, too, so be sure to check that out!
First, we had The Lion King cast announcement… and then… a lot of nothing. It’s been a whole year without much info coming out of this movie.
I mean, I get it. Disney Studios have been a little bit busy lately. The 2018 Disney Movie Slate was pretty epic.
By the way, go see Ralph Breaks the Internet this weekend. You don’t want to miss it on the big screen- and if you need to know if Ralph Breaks the Internet is kid-friendly, check out my parent movie review.
Buttttt… back to The Lion King.
We just got our first look at The Lion King and it’s a pretty spectacular visual feast- which totally makes sense for Thanksgiving!

First Look: Lion King Teaser Trailer
This one is short and sweet, and I might be wrong but looks a lot like the teaser we had at D23 Expo in 2017.
Wow, right?
I can’t tell what’s live action and what’s CGI in this one. It’s beautiful!
And that voice: I do love me some James Earl Jones!

And doesn’t this poster just make you say awwww?
How cute is baby Simba?
About The Lion King

Scar, Mufasa?s brother?and former heir to the throne?has plans of his own.
The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba?s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.
The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonc? Knowles-Carter as Nala, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Billy Eichner as Timon and Seth Rogen as Pumbaa.
