Four Reasons I Love Grammarly | Giveaway
While I’m FAR from a grammar nerd (sorry, 11th-grade teacher; your Jedi mind tricks did not work on me!), I understand the compunction.
It’s like nails on a chalkboard for some of my Grammar Goddess friends.
Man, there are a lot of rules to the English language! ?English is so weird.
Back in September, I downloaded the Grammarly toolbar. ?I quickly upgraded to the premium service and can honestly say this is the best money I have ever spent on myself. ?True Story.
Four Reasons I Love Grammarly
- I’m winning the marriage game.? Backstory: I married a writer & English major. You know where this is going, right? ?Do you know one of those people? ?Oh boy- I’ve had my grammar corrected for years with this guy. ?But it’s not as annoying as it sounds. ?After 23 years together, it’s become one of our quirky little things that make us an adorable couple. ? It’s his love of language (his?language of love maybe?) that compels him to do it. ?Since I’ve added The World’s Best Grammar Checker?to my computer, he’s had less “love” to share. ?So I win. ?But I still like to keep things fresh. ?Sometimes I’ll say something completely wrong on purpose to watch his head spin, because, hey laughing at him is MY love language! Pro-tip for a long marriage: ?laugh at each other a lot. ?It’s hot.
- I discovered an enormous issue in my writing.? I was doing it wrong. ?All of it. ?Okay, not all of it, but I did pick up on one annoying habit that I now pay attention to and often catch as I write. ?If I don’t catch it, The World’s Best Automated Proofreader has my back. ?And yes- I still do it, but a whole lot less than I was!
- My blog traffic has increased.? Bloggers love to write, we love to share, we love to educate. ?I never set out to take over the internet with my musings, but as with any job (and this is certainly a job!), it’s satisfying to see improvement and growth. ?In blogger terms, that’s an increase in visitors to my site. It also doesn’t hurt when it comes to paid opportunities. ?Traffic matters. ?How do you increase traffic? ?Writing well. ?Boom. ?Grammarly for the win.
- Confidence.? I’ve always said my style is “conversational and a little folksy”. ?It still is. ?But now it’s CORRECT conversational and folksy. ?Running Grammarly while I write allows me to hit submit knowing that my message will be free from distractions like spelling mistakes or glaring grammar issues.
Alright, so clearly I’m a fan. ?So much so that I’m giving away a free month of the Premium service to one of my readers. ?Yay you!

My grammar pet peeve is misused apostrophes.
Oooohhh— that’s a good one!
My biggest grammar issue is when someone is being high and mighty and forwards a post that has a mistake in it. Sigh.
Ouch. 🙁
Your and you are!
I think my biggest grammar pet peeve would be misspelled words.
I so need help with my errors. I do use grammarly but only the free subscription, I’d love to try the upgrade! Thanks for the giveaway!
