Funny Dr. Seuss Memes You Probably Shouldn’t Show The Kids
We all loved Dr. Seuss and his rhythms as kids. As adults: they’re even funnier in a twisted way. If you are celebrating Dr. Seuss Day on March 2, check out these funny Dr. Seuss memes. Though we gotta say, most of these are for adults- so keep them to your parent or bestie group texts!
Who Is Dr. Seuss And Why Do We Celebrate His Birthday?
Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts.
After graduating from High School, he attended Dartmouth College where he was the editor-in-chief of the humor magazine called the Dartmouth Jack-O-Lantern. At least he was until he was forced to resign due to a drinking scandal during Prohibition.
After finding some success as a political cartoonist during WWII, he settled in California where he began writing and publishing books under the name Dr. Seuss.
“The Cat in the Hat,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” and “Green Eggs and Ham,” just to name a few. He continued to write until his death on September 24, 1991.
We acknowledge his birthday every year on March 2 as a way to continue to encourage young kids to read. Dr. Seuss Day is celebrated in schools across the nation.
This year, we’re celebrating with some funny Dr. Seuss memes, though we gotta warn you: many of these are not kid-appropriate.
