SEW Funny! Twitter VS Threads Memes
If you were looking for a new social media app (ha- we know, you were NOT in fact looking yet here we are…) Threads has arrived! And so (sew?) have the Twitter vs Threads memes. We don’t know which billionaire will end up having the last laugh, but we’re all amused by the prospects as this alternative to Twitter takes social media by storm.
What Is Threads And Why Are We Obsessed?
If you are an Instagram user, you have heard of Threads by now- or are already on it.
It’s the sister app from Meta that is trying to take on Twitter in social media circles, ie, Mark Zuckerberg’s new app.
Where you posted videos and pictures on Instagram, Threads is about having conversations.
Just like Twitter once used to.
The good part about Threads: Elon Musk is nowhere to be found.
The bad part about Threads: Mark Zuckerberg is all over this thing.
Le Sigh.
But if you miss Twitter of old (like 2012ish time period) then Threads may be the breath of fresh air you were looking for.
One note: when you sign up for Threads, it asks if you want to automatically follow the same people you followed on Instagram. While tempting, that may NOT be the move if you use the two social media platforms in different ways.
I use Instagram to share my Disney adventures, but I use Twitter to share… pretty much everything else. So be careful before you say yes to importing all your follows from a former app.
But you’re not here for that; you’re here for the Twitter vs Threads memes. And there have been some GOOD ones, y’all!
