Mark your calendar for June 6, 2018, and plan to join people from all over the globe to get moving as part of Global Running Day, and to get the young people in your life moving by joining the Million Kid Run.

It seems like there really is a day for everything… National Donut Day recently is a great example. June 6th is Global Running Day! Now that’s a “holiday” I know we can all get on board with.
What Is Global Running Day?
Global Running Day is a worldwide celebration of running that encourages everyone to get moving. It doesn’t matter how fast you run or how far you go—what’s important is that you take part, and how you do it is up to you. Run a lap around your block, take your dog for a long walk, or call your friends for a pick-up game in the park. The important thing is that you have fun being active—and you inspire others to join you.
I know I have said this before, and I’ll say it again, but really my absolute most favorite and cherished part of this whole running thing is the community… so I decided to put together a team!
No Guilt Runners
The team name is No Guilt Runners – I would love to see just how many people we can get together in a short period of time.
I’m kicking myself for just now seeing the opportunity to come together as a community on this. I do hope you’ll join me!

I have a short-ish run scheduled on the 6th with my training plan, that I intend to stick to. As much as the competitive part of me wants to go out and knock out huge miles on Wednesday, I don’t want to injure myself or mess up the base I have been working so hard to build.
I decided to pledge 2 miles, one for each one of my daughters.
