Jersey Boys Parent Review
Jersey Boys is just so much fun. And I’ve never even been to Jersey.
The dancing, the music, the story of how you always have your friends backs: one of my absolute favorite stories and the cast did a phenomenal job bringing the story of Frankie Valli to life.
I hadn’t seen this one on stage in a long time, but I was okay taking my daughter to this one, despite the “authentic Jersey language” I knew she’d be exposed to.
There’s just so much here for multi-generations to enjoy, and I wish the grandparents would have been in town for this one! But they’ve seen the show too- and agree- that the music is classic for all ages.
I dare you not to fall in love with each of the Four Seasons as they take their turn telling their side. Fabulous voices and actors- every single one.
My only negative to the show were the female voices; I’m sure they were lovely, but it was harder to hear them for some reason at my showing. Hoping that was a small tech glitch and that it works out for the rest of the run, however.
What You Need To Know If You Take Kids To See Jersey Boys
There’s a lot of salty language in this one. A lot.
It’s recommended for 12 and up, but I’d probably push this to high school levels myself, especially if the language is a big concern in your household.
The language and one sexual coming of age scene that is suggestive enough your younger kiddos probably don’t need to see this on stage- so keep that age recommendation in mind before you buy tickets!

About Jersey Boys
They were just four guys from Jersey, until they sang their very first note. They had a sound nobody had ever heard… and the radio just couldn’t get enough of. But while their harmonies were perfect on stage, off stage it was a very different story — a story that has made them an international sensation all over again.
Go behind the music and inside the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons in the Tony and Grammy Award®-winning true-life musical phenomenon, JERSEY BOYS. From the streets of New Jersey to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this is the musical that’s just too good to be true.
