Katie K Activewear Spring Review
A few weeks ago I shared that I became a Katie K Active ambassador.
This is one brand that you NEED to discover if you aren’t wearing it already.
Be sure to check out the spring line if you are in need of warm weather gear. It’s finally HOT here (I’m talking Africa hot), so it’s perfect timing for me to break out the tanks.
I took my new outfits for a test run around the lake a few weeks ago.
I’ve worn them throughout the month as well: to the gym, out shopping, during my fancy staycation (review coming), and on my (ahem- sporadic) runs.
I’ve put them to the test and can confidently say I love these clothes. I think you will too.
Here’s a quick list of the things I dig about Katie K (in no particular order):
1. Sizes small through 3X are found in every look. Big or small, you can wear these clothes!
I’m not the biggest girl out there, annnnd I’m not the smallest.
The outfits I chose run true to size (XL in both tops and bottoms in my case).
This is the Signature Burnout Tank. I wore it over a plain black tank since it’s a bit see-through (and it’s meant to be). You don’t have to do that- more power to you! I just prefer the modestly of the extra layer myself.
It’s got adjustable sides that help create a flattering figure. I’m a fan.
2. The quality is phenomenal.
The Signature Urban Capri is solidly built. I’m not easy on my workout wear since I wear it out and about as well as to the gym or on a run. No pilling, no pulling.
I felt comfortable enough to go commando in these as well – the coverage won’t leave you wondering if anyone can tell!
Oh and one other thing:
PHONE POCKET!
There’s one handy dandy pocket located on the right-hand side. Holds my iPhone 6 perfectly.
3. The fit made me feel fashionable while I was working on my fitness.
I usually run to the store before or after a workout, looking something like this:
This was me after a yoga workout at the gym. I popped into Kohl’s to grab a few things for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration and snapped a “before” picture.
Not exactly styling, right?
Now I’m able to go from gym to store with a bit more confidence when I look like this:
Super cute!
The Signature Cowl Neck top is my absolute FAVORITE piece from the collection so far.
The cowl is a versatile piece that allows you to go from fitness…
to flirty…
in a snap!
It also comes with the adjustable sides. Gives you the option to go looser on those bloated days (yep- you know it happens) or tighten things up when you are feeling REALLY good about the way you look.
I appreciate the options.
It makes for a little extra jingle when you run, but nothing that’s too distracting.
4. Katie K makes me feel GOOD about being ME.
I’ve never pretended to be anything other than a work in progress. When the “progress” sends you backward it’s easy to get frustrated and want to give up.
Putting on the clothes to go for that run is the first step FORWARD.
Many say it’s the hardest step.
I never thought clothes would make the difference in my confidence. There’s power, though, in what you wear.
I’m learning that feeling good on the outside makes it easier to accept the inside. Who knew?
If that’s something you struggle with, seriously, consider taking yourself shopping.
Find something you feel pretty in- and then use it to power through your next stumbling block.
Alright- enough of the heavy talk!

What do you think of the colors in the spring line? Which one pops for you?

Love all the colors, but you really had me at “pocket” !!
I know! It’s fabulous- really!
