The beautiful Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek offers so much to runners as a runDisney race hotel! I’d say it is one of the best hotels for a Disney race weekend, that’s for sure. Staying close to the Disney World action at a moderately priced hotel with the feel of staying deluxe level is the best way to sum this experience up. This offsite Disney area hotel is clearly the runners choice: make Marathon Weekends at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek your next racecation hotel. Accommodations?were provided in exchange for this review but all Hilton love is my own!
I’ve traveled to Disney World multiple times a year since 2011 to participate in runDisney events since 2011. So I consider myself a runDisney expert and love to help other people runDisney as well.
But one thing I’ve never done is stay at an offsite hotel for a race weekend.
I had my list of reasons why onsite was best- and guess what Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek said?
Girl, please. We GOT you!
Here are three reasons Marathon Weekends at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek should be your next choice for a runDisney weekend.
Best Hotel For Disney Race | Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
When Sarah drove up to the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, we both commented on how great the location was.
Hilton Bonnet Creek is located right by Sarah’s future retirement home inside of Golden Oaks (ahem- she better have a wing for me!), which means it’s basically located on Disney World property.
Location, location, location!?as the saying goes. You won’t have to travel far to get to the parks or the start line if you stay here for your race weekend.
If you’ve stayed at Pop Century, Art of Animation or Caribean Beach Resort, you have stayed in the same general area as Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.
This is one reason I say this is one of the best hotels for Disney races.
Here are my three favorite reasons for runners to stay at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek for a runDisney racecation.
1. Marathon Weekends at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Include Transportation
This was probably top on my list of reasons not to stay offsite.
I love that Disney provides those free, though early, 3 am race busses to get me to Epcot in time for the half marathon and marathon- and back to Magic Kingdom later in the day to celebrate.
Hilton Bonnet Creek knew this was important to us as runners so they include this in their Marathon Weekends at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.
Best hotels for Disney race weekend: +1 right here!
You’ll stop by the runners’ concierge desk and let them know your plans for the half or full marathon distance mornings and your chariot (aka chartered bus) will be waiting for you on race morning.
You can also pick up the bus schedule at the front desk for theme park transportation. All guests are welcome to utilize this free transportation system and it was running smoothly over marathon weekend.
2.?Marathon Weekends at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Include Special Runner Love
Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek loves their runners!
And you feel the love from the moment you check in. You’ll head over to a special desk located in the lobby to pick up a little swag bag and get the 411 on the weekend activities.
The weekend includes special runner perks like a delicious onsite lunch reception (feed me? Yes, please!), 10% off dining at the resort, access to the runners’ concierge, and free race transportation.
But my favorite thing EVER was when I went down Saturday morning and found the Marathon Weekends Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek cheerleaders.
Guys, they had signs, music, and moves! As they spotted a new runner heading down the hallway, the team kicked it into gear and cheered them onto the bus.
I’ve never seen people so happy in a hotel lobby at 3am as this crew!
How fun is this?!
Seriously— they had so much energy this morning that I had to add this in as another plus for the best hotels for Disney race weekends!
And you probably spotted the food on the tables.
Oh, you know it! The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek hooked a runner UP.
Free continental breakfast for runners on their way to the half and full marathon distances.
There was a little something for every type of runner: Bananas, granola bars, bagels, apples, oranges, Powerade,?and coffee.
Yasssss… coffee is needed at 3 am and especially on the cold mornings we just had in Orlando!
Oh- one last thing.
How does a late check out sound? When you’re a back of the pack runner like me, knowing that I have to hurry back to my room to shower, pack and get out of the onsite hotels is not my favorite thing.
Paying an extra night just to avoid that stress is also NOT my favorite thing.
When you are a guest for Marathon Weekends at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek your favorite thing will be the 2 pm late check out offered. No calling in and begging for it on race morning; Hilton grants it to you as part of the package.
3.?Marathon Weekends at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek: a Deluxe Resort Experience
I’m a deluxe level girl living on a moderate or value budget for most of these runDisney trips. In order to #runalltheraces I have to keep that budget in mind.
The thing that impressed me about Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek was the feel of staying at a Disney deluxe level resort with a moderate price tag. If you are looking for Disney marathon hotel discounts, look no further.
This is easily one of the best hotel for Disney races!
As a travel agent, I can tell you that booking the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek as your Disney marathon hotel will give you a ton of benefits for the price.
The Marathon Weekends package means you get a lot of amenities that the Disney moderate resorts just can’t quite match for a Disney race weekend hotel for the price. If you’d like some cost comparisons, email me at email@example.com and I can show you the value of Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek in dollars.
But for now- check out the value you get via these pictures of the resort.
The lobby is gorgeous and I spent some time wandering around admiring all the art on the walls.
The rooms are spacious with all the needed amenities: hairdryer, coffee maker, mini-fridge, and room service.
I found the menu to be on par with what I’d spend in the parks for breakfast, so I took advantage of not having to put pants on one morning.
I do love me some breakfast in bed!
The resort offers a fully loaded gym for you to get your sweat on that’s open 24 hours a day.
You will also find a spa on property to work those runners kinks out after a race.
And the resort pool is somewhat legendary in Orlando. It’s consistently ranked as a top hotel pool and though it was too cold for me to spend time in it, the kids I saw frolicking in the lazy river made it clear this pool was something special.
My friend Sarah, was also impressed with the Marathon Weekends setup at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.
We both agree: staying here will make you feel like a winner!
Room packages are still available for Princess Half, Star Wars Dark Side, and Wine and Dine Marathon weekends. I’d love to get you booked there, so let me know if I can help make that happen!

Thanks for this! I just booked for Marathon Weekend! The Hubs (non-runner) wanted to stay off property this time to save money. I protested because of the race transportation. This takes care of that!

Great review, thanks! Almost sold but I'm considering running Dopey. Looks like they only provide transportation to the start for the half and full. Any tips on getting to the 5k/10k starts?

When I was there I used Uber/Lyft a few times. I think it was $5-6 to get to Epcot area. Could be an option, especially if you find other Dopey runners in the lobby to share a ride with! https://noguiltlife.com/your-guide-to-using-uber-orlando-and-lyft-orlando/

Love this review! I almost stayed there this time, but the parking fee made my Disney resort a slightly better value (with an AP discount) but next year, seriously considering flying and using Lyft as my "Disney private driver" so this would work!

Oh yeah! You'd like it here I think. As long as you are good with Lyft as needed then you'd be set. Epcot is basically across the street!
