If you are new or old to the Marvel Universe, be sure to check these 5 reasons why you need a Marvel Day at Sea Disney cruise 2020! (plus some bonus geek goodness for the Star Wars cruise lovers!).
It’s a great time to be a Marvel fan!
I know my family, and I have been geeking out HARD. We’re trying to get through this list of Marvel movies to watch before Infinity War comes out and loving every second of it.
We’re all about the MCU around here- let those nerd flags fly, my friends!
I’m also all about Disney Cruise 2020 vacations these days. They are simply the best experiences for families like ours.
Combine Disney Cruise Line with Marvel, and I’m SO in.
We’re making plans to check out the Marvel Day at Sea with Disney Cruise Line for our big Disney cruise 2020 vacation.
You could say this escalated quickly after my Marvel Mom pal, Tania at LolaLambchops, shared all her pictures (see below!).

I mean, how cool does this look?!
Insert all the heart-eyed emojis here and BOOK ME NOW!
Tania, who loves Marvel as I do, had nothing but great things to say about the whole cruise.
Here are 5 reasons a Marvel fan needs to check out Marvel Day at Sea with Disney Cruise Line!
1. The Marvel Day at Sea Food
Cruise food is- wait for it- legendary on the Disney Cruise Line.
So it came as no surprise that they also themed meals that day to include a little Marvel love!
You’ll have a special Marvel Day at Sea menu during your dining rotation. Spider-Man straws were extra, though!
2. Marvel Day At Sea Entertainment
Do you want to be entertained on vacation? Marvel Day at Sea has you covered!
There are plenty of shows and experiences to keep you nerding out all day long.
Here’s the list of shows and experiences from Disney Cruise Line.
Marvel Stunt Show Spectacular
Families assemble for a nighttime show where more than a dozen of your favorite Marvel Super Heroes and villains come together for a grand deck-side extravaganza featuring pyrotechnics and fireworks.
Heroic Mickey and Friends
Join in the fun as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip ‘n Dale dress up to honor their favorite Marvel Super Heroes! Young cruisers won’t want to miss this opportunity to have some fun and dance with the gang on deck.
Adults dance the night away in Fathoms, home to an awesome mix of dancing, cocktails, and appearances by Star-Lord and Gamora.
Doctor Strange: A Mystical Show
Behold the power of the mystic arts with Doctor Strange and join in a battle against the Dark Dimension inside the Walt Disney Theatre.
3. Marvel Day at Sea Activities
Disney brings it all out for Marvel Day at Sea with their fun variety of Marvel-themed activities.
I think this might be the hardest part for our family: choosing which ones to do!
There’s a costume celebration, on deck movie screenings, crafts in the kids’ clubs, family Marvel trivia, and so much more.
Short answer: we don’t want to miss the Marvel themed Animation Academy (my youngest is obsessed with drawing!), and you can bet we’re going to tackle Marvel 101. You might think you know it all, but there’s nothing wrong with a refresher course.
4. Marvel Characters Meet and Greet at Marvel Day at Sea
And this, my friends, is my favorite reason for doing this cruise.
I absolutely love character interactions at the Disney parks, and there are some exclusive opportunities going on with the Marvel Day at Sea cruise.
Meet Black Panther
He’s the hottest Marvel character right now- and your kids are going to need to meet him!
Okay- so, *I* need to meet him too!
Because: WAKANDA FOREVER! (yeah, I say that a lot!)
Other Marvel Characters on Board
Check it out: here are all the characters you can meet at the Marvel Day at Sea with Disney Cruise Line.
- Iron Man (ONLY on this cruise!)
- Captain Marvel
- Black Widow
- Captain America
- Black Panther
- Groot (OMG!!!)
- Doctor Strange
- Loki (I hear he gives bonus points if you show up in a Loki Disneybounding look!)
I don’t know about you, but my geek meter would be good and full after all these superhero meetings!
5. Disney Cruise Line Service
The most significant reason you want to take advantage of the Marvel Day at Sea is that it’s held on the Disney Magic, a Disney Cruise Line vessel.
Disney Cruise Line service is the absolute BEST.
I’ve never had a bad experience with a cast member on board or on Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
Your room is pristine; your meals are perfection; your onboard entertainment is impressive; you will simply have the best vacation you can imagine with Disney Cruise Line!
