Moms’ Night Out Mommy Party With Papa Murphy’s

Moms are kinda a big deal.  Without them, you wouldn’t be here, right?  Yes, Dads too… but we’ll get to them in June.  May is the month we celebrate and love on Mom a bit.  I love my mom.  I love being a mom.  I love my mom friends.  Moms pretty much rock my world- I know I’m not alone here.  Who’s the world’s best mom?  Well, mine, of course!

Today is a good day to be a mom.  It’s National Moms Night Out and I’m taking full advantage of it. National Moms Night Out is the first nationally organized celebration bringing moms together virtually and in person.  Yes, there’s Mother’s Day but that’s for the families.  This one is for moms and moms to get together and enjoy each other! 

I had a get together today sponsored by Moms’ Night Out and Papa Murphy’s.  They sent me a fun kit with all kinds of goodies for the Mommy Party.  What better way to share the joy than with new mom friends?  We loved taking some time out for ourselves and just hanging out this afternoon.  I’m so thankful for the new (and some old) friends that came into my home today.

At our little party, my friends listened to me gush about the time I was a big deal and attended a VIP early screening of the movie, Moms’ Night Out.  You might remember me talking about it back in February. Here’s a reminder of the time I got to selfie Sean Astin & Sarah Drew.

I said it then, I’ll say it again:  GO SEE IT.  It’s truly a movie for everyone.  Family friendly and freakin’ hi-larious! You will laugh, and you will cry (but not ugly cry- soft, soul touching cry.)  You will fall in love with Trace Adkins- as if you haven’t already- for this one scene that he just nails.  Spoiler alert: he invokes Pinterest, y’all.  Loved it.

As a side note: the message of this movie was so powerful for me that it inspired the name change of the blog.  When I left this conference largely due to this movie, I knew where my blogging future was going.  As moms we tend to take on the guilt of the world… and sometimes we need some help letting it go.  That’s what My No-Guilt Life is all about.  Finding ways to be comfortable with who I am and where I am.
