Monday Memes | Super Bowl XLIX
I’m a sports fan and football is hands down my favorite!
The Super Bowl is a pretty fun night for my family.
Even though our team wasn’t in the big game (Cowboys) and we were all sick this week (cancelling our #DisneySide Super Bowl XLIX party plans), we still had a fun night watching the game, watching the commercials and of course, watching Twitter.
Because, really, any social media addict knows Twitter is where the REAL entertainment lives!
A quick rundown in case you missed the game:
- Nationwide shared a couple of funny commercials and one horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE commercial that harshed all the mellow of all the Twitterverse.
- Katy Perry put on a pretty cool halftime show with a giant gold tiger, dancing sharks, singing palm trees, and the More You Know star making an appearance.
- Missy Elliot, however, stole the show.? She rocked.
- Richard Sherman showboated (duh).
- Puppies ruled the day… awwww, Budweiser!
- The Patriots STOLE the game in the final seconds- snatching victory from the Seahawks.? All because of a DUMB DUMB DUMB play call in the final seconds.
The funny Nationwide commercial:

The Nationwide commercial about how all our homes are deathtraps and our kids are going to die:

And the reaction when they THREW THE BALL instead of running #BeastMode into the endzone:

My favorite on the Twitters was how MGM Grand Vegas jumped right in on the teasing about the lion Katy rode in on!! I thought that was pretty awesome!!!
Though I didn’t think MGM Grand, I thought Hunger Games 🙂
I totally went Hunger Games too. Hilarious night- love when Twitter is rocking like that!
