Why, it’s Leg Day around here. WHOOP!
Which means I will be whining the rest of the week about how much my bootay and quads hurt. It’s a real problem, but one I secretly love.
Does that make me weird?
Let’s DO THIS!
Monday, I don’t fear you.
But Liam worries me a ‘lil bit.
Since it sucks so much, you may wonder why I add in a leg day at least once a week?
Easy answer: to help keep the injuries at bay and for a lesser reason, hope that speed comes from these stronger muscles.
I suffered from ITB (holy ouch, people!) for a couple of years and it wasn’t until I started focusing on my legs specifically that it went away.
Even though legs are boring and squats suck and everything hurts for days after… it’s worth it to not go through THAT special kind of pain ITB injury brings. (shudder)

I’ve been doing StrongLifts since May so squats is now just something I do 3x a week. Never thought I’d say that! There isn’t much day after soreness. I love how I’m getting strong and toned with not a ton of time at the gym.
DH and I just started doing P90X abs. Oh my hip flexors were killing me for days after that first workout!
