Dancing through the week like whoa and I see these beauties drop! The newest Disney’s Nutcracker and the Four Realms trailer and poster are here and it’s got me prepping for Christmas (yes, in August!). Wonder how fast I can get that Christmas tree up? Ha!
I know a few people who start counting down Christmas in July- and I totally get that. Thinking cool thoughts of Christmas months during the hot summer months is certainly one way to get through the 100 degree days!
I’m not one of “those” Christmas people, but I will admit that once the decorating/shopping/baking bug hits, I jump on board the Polar Express pretty quickly.
Which is why this new Nutcracker and the Four Realms trailer and poster has me dreaming of a white Chrismas, with the Sugar Plum Fairy (Kiera Knightly) and tin soldiers dancing in my head.
I’m not sure how I missed the fact that Helen Mirren is also starring in this one, but I’m in for anything Queen Helen appears in!
National Treasure: Book of Secrets and Red (1 and 2) are two of my guilty pleasures, in part because of Ms. Mirren. And yes, I know she’s an Oscar winner and all that, but the fact that she can kill it in action adventure movies as well as the serious stuff makes me adore and respect her even more!
Check her out in the new Nutcracker and the Four Realms trailer.

Yeah, I know it’s August, but let’s go ahead and embrace it, alright?
About The Nutcracker and the Four Realms
All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift from her late mother. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world.
It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets.
Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world.
Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy and featuring a special performance by Misty Copeland, Disney’s new holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse Hallström and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale.
In theaters on Nov. 2, 2018.
