Official: Disneyland runDisney Races Cancelled | On Hiatus for 2018
The official word has come out: all Disneyland runDisney races cancelled and placed on hiatus for 2018.
We received this news directly from runDisney this afternoon. For all runDisney news and information, check out this Everything You Need to Know about runDisney post.
Disneyland runDisney Races Cancelled
Thank you for your partnership with runDisney events at Disneyland Resort. We appreciate your loyalty and dedication and want to share the following update with you.
After careful consideration and weighing all possibilities, we have made the very difficult decision to place all runDisney race weekends at Disneyland Resort on hiatus beginning in 2018 given the level of construction to support the ongoing Disneyland Resort expansion.
While this news is sad to share, we are so thankful for your business over the years and the memories you have helped create at our race weekends.
We encourage you and your runners to continue to visit runDisney.com for other race opportunities. A full schedule of races at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Paris are currently still being offered, in addition to our virtual race series.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you at one of our future events.
As a Travel Agency who was built on running these magical miles, our agency feels the same disappointment as you do.
We’re kinda crushed at the thought of runners not visiting Disneyland, the Happiest Place on Earth.
Thankfully, there’s one last event and we hope you are joining us at Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend.
Sarah and I will see you there to run one last time through the #tinycastle!
