If you are heading to Walt Disney World after January 1, 2021 you might want to upgrade those theme park tickets. Park Hopping is back, baby! Here is all the info you need to know about park hopping at Walt Disney World in 2021.
Disney World Reinstates Park Hopping- With A Twist
The Disney World theme park reservation system has been in use since the resort reopened in July, 2020.
But it was limited to one park per day per ticket.
Gone were the days of rope dropping Hollywood Studios and hopping over to Epcot for lunch.
But as time and data rolled in, Disney World is ready to reinstate park hopping- with a few changes.
Here’s what you need to know if you plan to Park Hop in 2021 at Disney World.
Park Hopping Details At Disney World
First thing to note: you will STILL need a reservation for the first park you plan to visit.
And you must enter this park before you are allowed to park hop to another.
You can boop in, and boop right back out to satisfy that requirement, but it looks like this is not the loophole to get into Magic Kingdom without first visiting Epcot.
At this time you do NOT need a reservation for the 2nd park, but that could change.
And the second park is only available based on capacity limits; you’ll want to check your My Disney Experience for updates before you head over to another park.
Park Hopping Hours
This is where things come with a twist: Disney World will set specific park hopper hours that will be available for your travel.
They will start at 2 pm each day and end when the park closes that day.
Be sure to check your My Disney Experience for details on when the park plans to close each day!

The My Disney Experience mobile app now offers a mobile check-in option for select table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Guests receive a push notification on their mobile device when their table is ready; they can also begin the check-in process by scanning a QR code located in the restaurant’s lobby. The announcement also made it sound like those hours may be flexed depending on each parks capacity and availability.
The MDE app will be even more important to you in the coming year!
And don’t forget to mask up: yes, kids do need face coverings at Disney World as well!
Which park are you hopping to first?!
