Mickey Mouse Patriotic Cookies
I’ll take any excuse to make Mickey-shaped food. I mean, once you have a Mickey-shaped cookie cutter, you might as well make good use of it!
I love Mickey donuts and Vampire Mickey cookies, but these might be my favorite.
The red, white and blue Mickey Mouse patriotic cookies are super versatile. Think 4th of July celebrations, Memorial Day picnics, or really any time.
Alright, here’s how you can make the Mickey patriotic cookies at home.

Red, White & Blue Mickey Mouse Tie-Dye Cookies Recipe
Makes 12
Mickey Mouse Tie-Dye Cookies Ingredients
- 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter
- 1 1/2 C powder sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/2 C flour
- 1tsp cream of tarter
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 mickey mouse head cookie cutter
- 1 cookie sheet fitted with parchment paper
Vanilla frosting ingredients
- 1/2 C milk
- 2 C powder sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Red and Blue gel food coloring
- 2 disposable piping bags
Mickey Mouse Tie-Dye Cookies Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Using a standing mixer, cream together the butter, powder sugar, vanilla and egg together until creamy and combined.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cream of tarter and baking soda
Gradually mix in the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until combined and a dough forms
Once the dough is formed, sprinkle about 3 tablespoons of flour onto a cutting board and place the dough onto the cutting board.
Sprinkle some flour onto the cookie dough and roll out the dough to about 2 inches thick
Cut out your cookies and place onto the cookie sheet
Bake your cookies for about 8-10 minutes
Let them cool completely
Mickey Mouse Tie-Dye Cookies Glaze instructions
Whisk together the milk, powder sugar and vanilla extract until smooth
Spoon about 1/8 C of icing into two bowls and add a few red food coloring into one bowl and blue food coloring into the second bowl
Mix until both are combined
Spoon each color into their own piping bags
Cut the tip off the piping bags
Drizzle the colors into the white icing about 2 times going vertical and horizontal
Dip the cookies into the icing and turn the cookies 90 degrees
Place back onto the wire rack and repeat the previous steps for remaining cookies
