Dear Santa: (Runner Gifts)
These types of blog posts are always my favorite to write. I mean, you’d think for a “free” sport like running, there’d be less stuff involved, right?
Wrong.
There’s so much stuff. And it’s all awesome.
Here’s my list of runner-related gifts I’m really hoping show up under the tree this year…
Runner Gift Idea #1: Road ID
I’ve had one of these on my list for quite some time, and it’s about time it happens. With marathon training, my runs are getting longer and further from home… and really it’s just a super good idea to have this.
Road ID also has a great gift guide if you’re thinking this might be a good one for a runner on your Christmas list… right now I am torn between getting the bracelet and the shoe loop or that awesome Apple Watch accessory… so many choices…
You can also get an emergency online profile through Road ID – where your info is securely stored and available at all times. That’s a fantastic gift idea for those runners who are way more adventurous than I am and actually venture out further than 5 miles from home while training!
Runner Gift Idea #2: ALL THE THINGS
So I stumbled upon this race care package and I just love everything about it. I’ve always said that my favorite gift would be a race entry… but that’s not super fun to open, is it? This company has put together the perfect race kit with different items to use before, during, and after the race.
I love the idea, and definitely would be super excited to open this one up on Christmas.
Plus, with all the races that I *travel* to… not having to worry about packing all this stuff would be awesome!
If you have a runner in your life who will be running a big race (*cough*DOPEY*cough*) shortly after the holiday… here’s a fantastic gift basket FULL of stuff that would be wonderful for the race weekend:
Runner Gift Idea #3: Goodr OG Sunglasses
I cannot get enough of these glasses. I had heard the hype from my friends, I had seen the adorable color combos at all the expos… but I just wasn’t sold.
Until I was.
I finally caved and bought a pair and now I can’t be stopped. I have three currently, and need them all in all the colors. I just recently ran the Rock n Roll San Antonio Marathon in a custom pair of Moms Run This Town blue mirrored glasses and they were perfect. They were lightweight, kept the sun out of my eyes, and adorable.

Stolen from my Instagram Stories – how cute are those glasses? I mean, SO CUTE.
Runner Gift Idea #4: Hydration Pack
So here’s another one I have had on my list for quite some time. But it’s pricey, so keep buying cheaper versions and not linking it…
Seriously if I would just spend the money on the good stuff, I wouldn’t waste the money on the bad stuff.
I have not heard a single bad review on the Orange Mud products, and I know I would like it if I tried it. I’m hoping by putting this here that one of my lovely family members decides this is the perfect gift for me this year!
I think I’d probably get black because I’m weird about things matching ALL THE TIME… but they do have an adorable pink color too.
Runner Gift Idea #5: 26.2 on Anything
This reminds me of my most favorite joke ever.
“When you walk into a room full of people, how will you know who ran a marathon? … Oh, don’t worry… they’ll tell you…”
If you don’t have a 26.2 sticker on your car did you even really run?!? Ha!!
But on a more serious note, those numbers just mean so much to me. I will plaster them on all the things I can – not to show YOU – but to remind ME – that I am a badass and I can do pretty much anything I set my stubborn mind to.
Here are a few of my favorite Amazon finds with those glorious numbers…
… so there you have it, folks!
I could go on for days about things I have, things I want, things I NEED… but if I found a few of these items under the tree on Christmas morning I would be one happy runner!

Great gift ideas! I have a RoadID and the Orange Mud Hydraquiver served me well for a few years, but I definitely need something new now!

I definitely have running items on my list for Santa every year. Right now I'm finding out skiing is the sport that's more expensive than running...
