Running allows us to see a lot of the world around us. ?It’s one of the things I most look forward to when I put on the shoes.
Today’s topic for Tuesdays on the Run: scenes from your run.
Are you a mountain runner? A trail runner? A track runner? ?A beach runner (I may have to hate on you for that one!) ?We want to see what you see when you are out on a run. ?It can be from a race or a training run around your hood.

Scenes From My Run
I try to run before the sun, because: Arizona. ?The sun is brutal here- even when it’s not hot. ?It was one of the first things I noticed when we moved here. ?The sun is NOT the same everywhere you go!
But I’m not complaining. ?Much. ?I’m an early riser anyway, and much prefer to get out and run before my day starts.
The bonus to getting up early is seeing some gorgeous sunrises?or runrises as I like to call them.
Now and then I catch the sunset as well.
This one happened when I finished a VERY long marathon training day with 22 miles.
But it was worth going out on this high note!
The rest of my views aren’t typically spectacular.
I’m out in the middle of the desert, so that limits my color choices to brown, less brown, tan, and taupe. ?Alright, sometimes there’s some green thrown in there as well.
I do love my neighborhood, though. ?It’s flat and about a mile away is a great lake. ?The lake is about a mile around, so this destination is perfect for an out and back 3-miler.
I’d love to see where you run!
