Shaking Things Up | Atkins Shake Review

I’ve been talking about the Atkins 40 plan and Atkins diet for a couple of months now.? Here’s a link to the first week I spent on the plan to refresh your memory on how it went.

Now that the New Year has rolled around (hello 2015!) I know thoughts of Resolutions and change are on your mind.? It’s on mine for sure.

I’ve actually coined it the “Year of No Regrets” for myself and I know that means leaving little on the table.? Or maybe leaving that 2nd helping on the table.

Weight loss is certainly number one on my list of things to change this year.

A resolution, a goal, a plan: whatever you call it, it’s happening in 2015.

Atkins has been a positive influence on me the past 2 months.? I am confident I will incorporate the foods and techniques I’ve found on the social media channels and website.

Atkins is working for me because it tastes great and offers me convenience when I need it.

This week I tried out the shakes.

Mornings around here are just nuts.? I have 4 kids going in 3 different directions as well as a husband who is running out the door for his commute.? Making sure everyone is going to the right place with the right nutrition on board is priority #1 for this mom.? I’m usually pretty good about taking care of everyone else.

Buuuutttt….

I forget to make sure I get what I need before I leave the house.

Enter Atkins Shakes.

You do not have to store them in the fridge, but that’s where they live at my house.? The colder the better here in Arizona!

15 grams of protein, 2 grams net carbs, and 160 calories of deliciousness is the perfect way for this mom to start her morning.

You can grab and go and it tastes pretty good.? But if you have the time I suggest blending it up into a thick protein shake.

Go easy on the ice, though.? This shake is rich enough that if you add too many cubes you might end up with chocolate ice cream instead of a drinkable shake!

These shakes are making it super easy to get a boost in the morning when my body needs it the most.
