Shopping For Young Athletes Is Easy At DICK’S Sporting Goods (And a #Giveaway!)

Sharing is caring!

As a mom of four young athletes, sometimes it feels like my life is dictated by the kid’s sports schedule. Weekday evenings mean practices and weekends are spent at games, tournaments, and meets. There’s usually overlap but every now and then we get a small break between activities where we are lazy bums.

And it’s awesome.

Even though I complain about it (a lot, during certain seasons, looking at you, baseball!) I truly wouldn’t have it any other way.

Soccer, baseball, gymnastics, basketball, and swimming keep my kids’ bodies and minds in shape and they have a ton of fun doing it.

When Christmas rolls around and people start asking what my kids want for the holidays, I have a simple answer: anything sports related works and a great place to shop this season is DICK’S Sporting Goods.

I stopped in this weekend to take a look around and get some gift ideas for?all the kiddos we are shopping for this year, including nieces and nephews.

What stood out right away: there’s something for everyone here. I starting crossing things off my list from the moment I walked in the front door.

I ended up walking out with a few presents that I’ll wrap and gift later. ?But this one can’t wait. I had to get a new hoodie for the giant growing teen whose arms grew 5 inches since last winter.

Kids: they keep growing and I keep running out of things to dress them in! Thankfully the hoodie options at DICK’S were plentiful and I picked one that has been approved for wear. Phew.

But really, golfers, runners, swimmers, bikers, soccer players… you name the activity and DICK’S has the gift for it.

I kinda loved this Spider-Man helmet. I mean, who doesn’t want to be a web-slinging biker these days?!

While I was looking for the kids, I happened upon a few things I wouldn’t mind for myself.

Hey, you can’t stop a runner from looking, amirite?

I found shoes, I found water bottles, I found glide. And yep, I’m putting this all here on the off chance that one of my family members reads this and wonders what I’d like to see in my stocking.

Hint: this is good.

I’m also looking for some of these.

Because getting buff is always on my Christmas list.

But at the top on my list, where it’s been sitting for 3 years now, is the Go-Pro Hero.

For the love of Santa, won’t someone buy me a Go-Pro?!

I also noticed a cool thing DICK’S is doing this year.

While you are shopping for your athlete, you can also help save youth sports programs across the country by purchasing Sports Matter green shoe laces.

While I’m lucky enough to be able to support my own kids and their athletic endeavors and have some great programs for my kids to participate in, there are areas that need help. I’m a believer in athletics for children, so this was something I could get behind.

Two dollars of each purchase will be donated to the DICK’S Foundation to support young athletes across the country.

I found mine right by the checkout counter.

Shopping at DICK’S is easy: there are extended store hours, great deals, promotions, and a?huge variety of ways to shop. Yes, online & via the app work too.

My favorite two words this time of year are “free shipping” and it’s being offered on all orders during the holiday season, no minimum purchase required.

Oh and get this: you can also buy online, and pick up in the store. Super handy for those last minute gifts on Christmas Eve. You will be able to buy online until 12 pm on Christmas Eve and pick up in store until 6pm that same day.

SCORE.

To help you shop for your own youth athlete and give them a Gift That Matters (but I won’t tell if you shop for yourself, moms & dads!) DICK’S Sporting Goods is hosting a giveaway for a $25 gift card. Super easy to win and shop!
