I have a lot of medals from this year.? Maybe more than any other year?? I should count.? But since I’m too lazy to count it all out right now, I have decided to feature my favorite 5!? Plus I need to chime in on that Princess bling too…
We?re taking a look at the past year on Tuesdays on the Run today.
THis has definitely been a year of highs and lows for me, and I can’t wait to read about how your year went, and what your favorite races was!

It’s All About The Bling
My medal wall is in a hallway between my bedroom and my office. It’s impossible to get a good picture.
But there you go, folks!
This is fun and timely topic since the Walt Disney World 2018 Princess Half Marathon medals have?FINALLY been revealed!
And y’all, I love them. LOVE them.
I’m not the biggest fan of the “same medal every year with a different color scheme” thing that Disney had going on for a while… so I was excited last year with Belle’s medal.
But I didn’t LOVE it. I just loved that it was different.
But this year? I LOVE these! ALL of them!
Anyways. Moving on.
My Top 5 Medals from 2017
*in chronological order, not in order of awesomeness*
This medal is my favorite medal of ALL TIME. It represents something I didn’t think I would ever accomplish.
But guess what, I DID!
There isn’t anything I don’t love about this medal. The color. The font. The running Mickey. The EARS.
I’m not gonna lie I would tattoo this on my body.
The CASTAWAY CAY CHALLENGE!
This medal is one of my favorites from this year because I’m pretty sure it’s the only time I’m gonna get it.
I was planning on trying again this year, but life and adulting got in the way and we had to pass. Womp Womp.
I do love the castle on it, and the boat… the cruise logo… I think they did a great job on this design!
The PRINCESS 5K!
This medal is cute. But what really gets me is this actual race – it may be one of my favorite races of the entire year.
Somehow my friend Beth and I ended up in the first corral, so we just went with it. We ran together, talked, stopped for character pictures, and finished right as the sun was coming up.
It was pretty much the most perfect 5K a girl princess could ask for!
The WINE & DINE HALF MARATHON!
When these medals were first released I was NOT happy. I thought they were lame.
But then they?really grew on me.
My life this year has been challenging.
I’m sure I’ll talk more about it over here later – but the fact that the medal theme from this race had gone from food and wine to travel was an incredible coincidence.
Too much of a coincidence for me to consider it a coincidence. It was just meant to be.
The 10TH ANNIVERSARY COAST TO COAST!
Oh, this medal.
It’s one I didn’t think I was going to get. And one that I had the MOST FUN getting.
And it’s an anniversary year… and the last year.
It will forever hold a special place in my heart!!
BONUS!!!!? The SHOWDOWN HALF MARATHON!
I did this race on a whim on my 32nd birthday.
I didn’t stick to my plan at all and was sore for like 4 days after. My time wasn’t great.
The course was pretty, but as a back-of-the-packer, I was pretty lonely out there.
But this race?? My girls were at the finish line.? It was awesome.
Now, let me see your bling!
