Showing Our #DisneySide With an @Home Celebration
Disclosure:? I received free product in order to host a Disney Side @Home Celebration.? Opinions expressed here are my own.
If there’s one thing you should know about me it’s this:? I’m never afraid to show MY #DisneySide.? And my kids aren’t either!
When we received the @Home Celebration? box from Disney Parks and MomSelect my kids couldn’t wait to tear into it.
We originally planned a Super Bowl party, but that was cancelled due to everyone in the house getting sick! #sadtrombone
Seth, my now 8-year-old, quickly claimed all the party goodies for his own party.
A #DisneySide birthday party? You don’t have to ask me twice!
My parents were already planning to attend as well as some cousins and aunts that were in town; add a few friends and our party list was set!

We planned an afternoon party full of food and games.
The kids helped me with set up and they chose a classic Mickey look with red, yellow and black decorations.
The kit came with a fun cake pan that had multiple uses:? we made a Mickey shaped rice crispy treat, a Duff Goldman Tie-Dye cake, and the pan held our fruit salad as well!
Seth loved the way the rice crispy cake turned out- and not to brag or anything, I was impressed with my own skills.?? Since, you know, I really don’t have any!? Not too shabby for a first try re-creating Mickey’s face!? ps… fruit roll ups are fabulous when you need to make a mouth!
I also set up a little photo booth for the kids.
We gathered the various hats, crowns, pixie halos, and superhero masks we had laying around and hung up a background.
Yes, that’s the table covering that came in the box but I thought it made a great background for the pictures!
My parents jumped in for a picture with the birthday boy:? yes, that IS my dad in a tiara.? I love it!
The box provided the entertainment for the party too.? We love games!
We played Pin the Smile on Mickey and #DisneySide Bingo.
Both games were simple for all ages: my parents all the way down to #OhLucy played along.
After the games were done, we finished out the party with something sweet.
What’s sweeter than Mickey Mouse cupcakes? That’s right- nothing!
This was another simple suggestion that even I, the least Martha Stewart-like mom I know, could pull off!
We loved showing our #DisneySide for Seth’s birthday party.? I enjoyed showing multi-generations of my family that Disney is not JUST for the little kids, but for big ones like me too!
Princess or Pirate, there’s a #DisneySide in all of us!
Thanks again to Disney Parks and MomSelect for providing the huge box of goodies for our @Home Celebration. As always, all options are my own.
How do you show your #DisneySide?? Does your family get in on the act too?

Great Party! Love the decor and all the touches! Way to show your Disneyside.
Thanks Julie! We had a good time- and Seth still loves his Mickey very much (which makes Mommy VERY happy!)
We show our #Disneyside by sporting our Disney World t-shirts back at home so we can look forward to the next time we are at Disney World! I love those Mickey cupcakes. I might have to make them for Emily’s birthday! And that pan is pretty awesome as well – great idea making a rice krispy treat in it.
The rice crispy treat was SO easy! And the cupcakes were done mostly by Seth and Claire- another fun but easy food craft for the kids to get involved in making! We wear our Disney shirts all the time too. Rob says my “uniform” consists of a race shirt and compression pants. It’s the “Look- I’m a runDisney runner” style around here. 😉
So fun! Looks like you all had a blast! Love the cupcakes and the cake and the rice Krispy treats. Clearly my sweet tooth is visiting today.
We’ve got our
#disneyside throughout our house (kitchen decor, plates, guest bathroom, etc). The whole family lives to show our #disneyside.
I need to come visit your house! No really- you free this summer? ha ha ha. My sweet tooth is always visiting girl!
Love the Mickey cupcakes the best! looks like a lot of fun!
They were mini, so eating 3 was okay, right? Fun food craft for the kids to participate in a hands on way.
Way impressed! That giant Mickey Rice Krispy treat is just as awesome as the one at Goofy’s Candy Company!
It was delicious! Goofy would approve, I’m sure!
Wow, you really made good use of that pan! Very smart! And I love the picture of you at the end. It looks like a really fun party! Yay #DisneySide!
Thanks for the Link Up Mindy! I loved checking out everyone’s #DisneySide!
That’s a lot of family Disney Side fun time! Great job Patty!
