This week?s Tuesdays on the Run is?a fun one.
We like to dream big around here. ?So let’s all do just that today!
If you opened your email today and found your dream sponsorship or ambassadorship opportunity, what would it be?
Do you have a favorite race or series or shoe brand you’d like to represent through?your blog and your community? ?Who would you love to work with in the future?
With Luv: My Dream Sponsor
I’m going to start with what is NOT my dream sponsor. ?Ready for this truth? ?This is probably going to shock you, but my dream brand is NOT Disney.
Not even close. ?I am not even lying a tiny little bit when I say it either.
This blog’s purpose is not to get runDisney to notice me. ?It is not to get invited to races, to meetups, into VIP tents, to score hotel rooms?or the special bus out to the corrals. ?I mean, all that is great and I don’t begrudge anyone who does have that type of relationship with runDisney.
It’s simply not the relationship I am looking to create at this time.
This blog’s purpose when it comes to runDisney to share information. ?To give the “real Hoka’s on the ground” experiences at the events.
As much as I love the magic and love the brand and the races, I feel that working for them would expose me to a very different side of things. When it comes to working for Disney, I don’t think we’d be a great fit.
I’m happy just as I am. ?I’m a neutral fan who can express my personal opinions when things don’t go well (ahem- Wine and Dine registration happening TODAY. ?I’m not saying it’s for sure going to be a mess, but, well, it might just well be a mess.).
In short: I do not wish upon a star or hope for Disney to take me on as a sponsor.
I would, however, ADORE working with a brand from my home state.
Since I’m originally a Texas runner, and I love combining travel with most races I run, the perfect sponsor for me would be with an airline I already Luv.
Sign me up to run on Team Southwest Airlines.
The runners with heart? The runners with the best on-time arrival record? ?The runners with free baggage? ?Runners that fly? ?
Eh, we’ll work on the tagline later.?
Not that such a thing exists, I don’t think. ?But if it DID, I’d be a great brand ambassador.
We’ve flown Southwest for most of my life. ?All over Texas, back and forth to California, Arizona, and Florida.
I’ve Luved it all.
The baggage policy is excellent.
Two free bags? ?Heck yes.
Have you seen the way I pack for a race? ?Yeah, a carry-on, a laptop, and a big ol’ bag is the way I generally roll into town.
Speaking of carry-ons, I’m a believer in the Early Bird check-in. It’s the best way to ensure my carry-on luggage (consisting of my race essentials!) find a happy home in the overhead bin.
On-time arrival: I’m a big fan, and so is Southwest.
Best of all for my purposes, Southwest flies into both MCO and SNA, my airports of choice when it comes to all those races I run.
We’d be good for each other, Southwest. ?I’ll drink to that!
Who is your dream sponsor? ?Do you have a brand you’d love to work for?
