Don’t you hate it when that happens?
Er… What happens, Shenanigans??
Life! ?When things get totally complicated and crazy in the most wonderful ways possible. ?When THAT happens.
Things have been quiet around here, and I’m sorry about that! ?I’m going to post a little Sum It Up Sunday to fill in the blanks.
Disney Parks Moms Panel?
We had the Round 2 applications due this week.
And that, folks, is where I spent the majority of my time.
Seven essay questions (!) and a 60-second video?submitted on Wednesday night. ?Mr. Shenanigans was trying to get me to go all Col. Nathan R. Jessup in my video:
Don’t worry: I didn’t. ?He’s a funny guy, though. ?Someday I’ll get him to do the whole thing for you guys. He amuses me.
Here are a few outtakes of the ideas I *did* try to make work. ?And try is the key word here. ?None of them did.
But I had fun trying to come up with the inspiration that would best explain why my family loves visiting Walt Disney World over all other vacation destinations.
Don’t ask me how I think this is going to turn out: ?I have absolutely no idea! ?I’m just gonna be over here hoping the committee has a Patty-shaped spot in their puzzle for me this year.
School Conference Week
My kids: ?they are wicked smart.
We had conference week and I had the pleasure of sitting in a classroom and hearing how perfect my angels are at school.
Hrrrmmppph. ?I know they do well in school, but I was expecting to hear how they talk back a little and leave their backpacks all over the place and sometimes complain about, oh, everything.
No? ?They just do that for ME?
Awww, kids. ?Thanks!
In all honestly, I’m extremely pleased with their growth at school and SO relieved that their negative behaviors stay at home.
And truly- they are pretty good kids. ?Just, you know, kids!
Speaking of the kids, we have a week off from school! ?In the middle of October.
This is one thing I LOVE about living here. ?We did not have this perk in Texas. ?It’s kind of cool to have a break from the hustle and bustle right in the middle of “fall”.
I’ll take it! ?This is “get outside and play” weather, and we are going to make the most of it.
I wasn’t able to do a lot this week, but I did keep loosely to my Galloway schedule for Avengers.
The important run happened: ?12.5 glorious miles on my treadmill. ?Scandal on Netflix FTW!
I’m channeling my inner Baymax these days: ?I’m not fast. ?But I am confident that the Avengers weekend will be a successful haul o’bling and I can’t wait to nerd out with everyone!
Hope you all had a great week! ?Want to share something crazy happening in your life?
