Sum It Up Sunday
Sunday again.? Time to sum up my weekly adventures on the blog.
Let’s do this.
Officially Old
I hurt all over this week.? My calves were tight, my buttocks hurt, and I had blisters on the back of my heels.? Why?? Because I spent 3 days and walked 30 miles at Disneyland (per my Fitbit!) wearing wedges and boots to the parks.? Yeah, not my best idea.
I looked real cute though.
The LA-ness of it all got to me I guess.
This meant I did a whole lotta “not much” this week as far as exercise went.
Yep- excuses.? I’ll admit it.
All was not totally lost though.? Being gone for a weekend playing meant there was plenty of work to do at home.? I cleaned my house for two hours one day.? And poured sweat from the effort.? Doing the backlog of laundry also took a lot of effort and energy.? Six people in this house, y’all.? That’s a lot of tidy whities to wash!
But it’s time to get back to the road and get some purposeful miles in.
I finally felt normal and woke up early this morning.? That meant no excuses: time to run!? I made it about a mile while my son was at baseball practice.? Just a mile, and then we called it a day.? Luke wasn’t feeling well and we needed to get him out of the heat.? (He’s totally fine now- was just a bit of heat exhaustion.)
Disneyland Half Marathon
It’s just around the corner!? Yipes.? Dining reservations have been made (don’t laugh at us, locals, food is important to runners!) and I think I’ve finally settled on a couple of costumes.? Once my trusty?Amazon shipment arrives, I’ll let you know the direction I’m taking things this year.? Last year was Incredible for sure, but I hope this year will be epic.
Princess Half Marathon Updates
It seems like that’s all we talked about on social media this week.? I know, I know.? You are over it!? Well, yeah, I understand.
Especially after the drama of registering this year.? Oh mama… what a day, right?
This is a reminder that you can find information the new Castaway Cay Challenge and Frozen themed 5K HERE.
PS- that 5K is STILL open for registration guys.? It was a lot of fun last year and you might not want to skip this one.
Giveaway
I’ve got a pretty fabulous prize pack going on for you guys this week.? If you are looking for some fun Princess themed items, be sure to enter soon!? Giveaway ends on Tuesday and I’d love for YOU to win.
(Don’t tell the others, but you’ve always been my favorite, you know.? Smooches!)
The Marathon
Is still 26.2 miles.? Yep, you are welcome for the newsflash.? But if you want to think about it in other terms, check out this post.
Mobile Photography
You can do amazing things with an iPhone and Instagram.? My pictures are NOT amazing, but they are inspired by the wonderful Tracey Clark and her presentation at the Disney Social Media Moms conference.? She gave us a lot of tips that bloggers and non-bloggers alike could use!
psst… Moms, I’m talking to YOU!
I signed up for one of the self paced classes she offers and can’t wait to work on my skills.? I have nowhere to go but up, right?
Tuesdays on the Run
We’d love to have you link up this week.
[Tweet “The topic for July 22 #TuesdaysOnTheRun is running while on vacation.”]

Reviews This Week
In addition to Tuesdays on the Run, I’ve got a post coming your way talking about my feet.? Yeah, you know you are excited about that!
I think you’ll want to read this one though.? I promise in advance NO gross runner feet pictures.? I mean, ewwww.? Apparently that’s what Facebook is for.? Blech.
It’s about how Moji 360 Foot Massager and Feetures planter fasciitis sleeves made my feet happy again.? I didn’t want to jinx it, but it appears to be true:??plantar fasciitis has gone away!? I’ll share how this week on the blog.
Oh…. and I might have another fun review for you Disney fans.? With a giveaway too!? It’s pretty freaking awesome, y’all and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Here’s a hint:
SQUEEEEEE!

Truth!
I can’t wait to see your Disneyland Half race costumes!
Also, for the Tuesday link-up, does it have to be running, or can it be hiking or water sports or anything physical fitness related?
We’re pretty open to whatever physically active!
Love it! Disneyland Half weekend is definitely creeping up! Where have you gotten reservations for? I’m still wondering where I’m going to carb load 😉
