Taste and Convenience | Atkins Update

I will confess up front: I did not follow Atkins when I was at Disneyland for the Avengers Half Marathon.

I had that amazing Brioche French Toast served with a side of eggs at Flo’s V8 Cafe. Because it’s AMAZING.

But other than that slip, I did a pretty honest job of trying to make the best choices as offered by the Atkins Plan.

And guess who is down 2 more pound this week?

This girl.

To say I’m happy with the progress is an understatement.

There’s been a lot of stress and typically travel causes me to do all kinds of crazy things with food. Such as forgetting to eat until I’m starving and then reaching for the easiest comfort food I can find.

This week I’ve been reaching for the frozen convenience foods Atkins sent for me to review.

Each one is tailored to fit into the generous Atkins 40 plan.

I’ve had diet meals before that were just ok, and I do prefer the fresh whole food options whenever possible.

The problem lately is time!

Ready from freezer to my plate in a matter of minutes, it’s helped me get through this long week of deadlines.

I ate the Mexican-Style Chicken & Vegetables earlier this week.

It was fabulous for lunch! Perfectly portioned for one.

My one non-negotiable in life is cheese. As you can see, I didn’t have to do without.

Delish. A lot of flavor with a bite of spice!

Fridays at my house means pizza.

Atkins doesn’t sound like pizza, does it? I mean, those delicious slices are just full of carbs!

No problem- I had an Atkins friendly option in my freezer stash.

This is a new product coming out in December. It’s the Stone Fired Pepperoni Pizza. Big thumbs up.

What I appreciate with these meals are the portions. They really are perfect for me. This pizza is on a salad plate and it filled me up.

I was able to join my family in pizza night without derailing my Atkins goals.
