The Choice: How Far Will You Go For Love?

I might be a bit late to the party when it comes to reading books, but I’ve been making up for lost time lately!
I just finished The Choice by Nicholas Sparks and am ready to see the movie by the same name (coming out on Friday). ?Why, yes, Mr. Shenanigans will be taking me to see this one on date night!
He’s already heard the synopsis as I read a chapter or two (ok, or five one night!) before bed.
The Synopsis:? Medical student Gabby Hollan [Teresa Palmer] moves in next door to Travis Shaw [Benjamin Walker], and fireworks are immediately set off. ?They follow a romantic journey neither imagined. Travis, easygoing ladies man, always assumed a serious relationship was not in the cards. ?Gabby, involved in a long-term relationship with another man, is taken by surprise as well. ?How far will they go to keep the hope of love alive?
When a beloved book turns into a movie, I make an effort to read the book first. ?Do you do that too? ?I know the movies often changed quite a bit, and I love being able to compare how the two play out.
What I hope doesn’t change in the movie: ?Travis.
He’s the main character of this story, and like most of Sparks’ male characters, I adore him.
Here’s a little video explaining what appeals to me about a guy like Travis.
If you know a guy like Travis, let me know so I can put him in touch with my sis. ?(Ha- yeah, she’s going to enjoy this post- love ya, Sis!)
The big question in this book is how far would you go for love?
My immediate thought: as far as it takes.
Travis and Gabby travel far to get be together, and then, BAM, a tragedy happens. ?This leaves Travis pondering that question and having to make decisions that no one wants to make in life.
And, of course, crying is involved as is required with any Nicholas Sparks story.

How far would I go for love? It depends on the “far”. Geography? Sure, I would go anywhere. Tragedy, etc? Count on me. Addiction? Nope. I’d go as far as seeing you to the door. 🙂
Perfect answer!
