No Horsing Around! Whispering Canyon Cafe Review
During each trip to Walt Disney World, I make a point to visit a Disney dining option I haven’t been to before. On my last trip we went over to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to have brunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe! This is a great resort option for breakfast, lunch or dinner that promises to make everyone in your family happy campers. Whispering Canyon Cafe review: there’s something on the menu for everyone here.
I’d been told for a while that this restaurant is one of the more “fun” restaurants to check out for Disney dining- with the cast members really getting into their parts.
The servers are there to make you laugh, and they do a pretty good job!
From pony races around the restaurant for kids (which we didn’t get to see this time) to sending an insane amount of ketchup to your table when you ask, I knew we had to check this one out!
Whispering Canyon Cafe Review
First off – Wilderness Lodge.
I had never visited this resort before, and boy is it beautiful!
If you’re a Disneyland regular and know the Grand Californian well – you will feel right at home.
It had the exact same vibe and made me miss #tinycastle just a little bit!
This resort has now made the list of places to stay: always trying something new when I can.
The Whispering Canyon Cafe waiting area is lovely, complete with an activity table of Lincoln Logs that I know would keep my kids busy while we waited.
Luckily, we didn’t have to wait long and took a seat towards the back of the restaurant.
It’s a pretty lively location, so if you are hoping for a nice quiet meal, this may not be your top Disney dining choice.
But the overall vibe of the restaurant was certainly welcoming and fun.
Whispering Canyon Cafe Menu
The menu is great at the Whispering Canyon Cafe – lots of options!
Coffee, mimosas, smoothies- all great ways to start your meal.
And I thought the price point was good as well.
I opted for the Doc Willis’ Egg White Omelet, and Patty had the House-made Banana Bread French Toast for breakfast at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.
The omelet was delicious – but the best part was that biscuit.
I have GOT to figure out how to make those at home.
Light as air!
Guys, Patty won the breakfast award.
Both dishes were good – but that french toast – AMAZING.
The Bananas Foster Sauce is spectacular… I couldn’t get enough of it!
We also took a peek at the kids’ menu (since I’m known to order the kids meals often) and it also has some great options for the little ones.
And yes, there ARE Mickey Waffles at the Whispering Canyon Cafe breakfast.
We know your kids will ask (and maybe you will too!).
There’s a bottomless Family Platter that you can really dig into if your family shows up with an appetite.
It comes loaded up with breakfast meats, eggs, potatoes and those killer buttermilk biscuits I love.
While we were there for breakfast, rumor says lunch is also pretty stellar.
The lunch Family Platter includes ribs, chicken, sausage and of course, western sides.
Desserts on Whispering Canyon Cafe menu include a Granny Smith apple-caramel pie, and Mason jar cheesecake.
Hold me.
The restaurant was fun, casual, and loud – so I know I won’t have to worry about anything if my kids are a little rowdy!
I will definitely be going back.
For the French toast. Because… y’all, really. ZOMG.
