Updated 10.9.14: the official calendar is released.? No tower of terror. Longer weekend for avengers- is a 10k coming? And no date listed for Expedition Everest in 2016. Very interesting, no?
Eta 10.8.14: this information is based solely off a tweet by runDisney that was then deleted. Please take it for what it’s worth. This falls under speculation right now and I may be jumping the logic track completely. But. I don’t think so based on heavy discussions of Star Wars land and Pixar land coming to DHS. Read on…

While nothing is set in stone when it comes to racing, I think this is a helpful tool for those of us who want to #runalltheraces.? My wallet and my families vacation time appreciates this too!
I’m thrilled with this step- thanks, runDisney, for once again listening to your runners about improvements.
However, this is one of those good news/bad news situations.
There’s something missing.? Something many of us were just falling in love with, actually.
It looks like a race went to the 5th Dimension and isn’t coming back anytime soon.

I know I’m not the only fan disappointed, nay, crushed to read this news.
But my guess would be that this change comes from necessity:? You can’t race and party through a park full of construction.
Construction?? As in the often rumored Star Wars Land and Pixar Land?
Could be.? And if that’s the reason, I’ll be happy to accept the loss of Tower.

Bummer! My fiancé proposed to me at TOT 2014 (our first runDisney race together, although I've done some prior and since) and we were going to make that "our race" and do it annually. BOO that it's gone!

I was planning and made resereation to run that race in 2015 it would been my first time running it and now it gone that's sucks

Just ran the TOT last weekend for the first time, and really hope it comes back! It was such a fun race.

I'm wondering why they let people defer to next year if they knew they were going to cut it? I'm really hoping they just don't have a date yet. I love this race and have run it all 3 years wanted to run it every year. Hoping they aren't done or at least they tell us why it was left off

I also noticed that Everest is listed in 2015 but not 2016. Guess I'll be running it in 2015 before its gone too. I'm so Glad I did the ToT 10 miler once.
