Edna Mode in The Incredibles 2 | E is Back, dahlings!

Edna Mode: the Icon, the Artist, the Legend. Here’s a new video from Disney Pixar featuring Edna Mode in The Incredibles 2 movie- and as you can see, the E we all know and love from The Incredibles is back!

When you start to talk about The Incredibles, one of the first things people seem to remember is the fantastic line, “NO CAPES!” yelled by Edna Mode when Mr. Incredible discusses a new suit.

You just don’t want to go there with Edna!

When we visited Pixar as part of the Incredibles 2 Event, I learned so much about Edna and her personal style. I’ll be able to share more of those details in the coming weeks- so stay tuned!

For now, I’ll say that the session we had on the Pixar costuming experience was my absolute favorite one. And Edna, of course, was the featured topic!

Who Is Edna Mode?

First a little backstory on what we know her before we talk Edna Mode in Incredibles 2.

She’s “THE” name in fashion design for the Supers and everyone who knows and loves her calls her simply “E”.

She loves her job, loves fashion, and loves the superheroes she designs for, “I used to design for GODS!” she says in The Incredibles.

It’s pretty clear from the first movie that is not a fan of supermodels, however.

You gotta go back and listen to her scoff derisively- “Nothing super about them! Spoiled, stupid little stick figures with poofy lips who think only about themselves.”

Welp, there you go. At least you know where she stands.

This is a hobo suit, darling. You can't be seen in this. I won't allow it. Fifteen years ago, maybe, but now? Feh! - Edna Mode, The Incredibles #Incredibles2 #Incredibles2Event

What I love about E is the way she gets a nibble of an idea, and just runs with it.

When Bob asks for a simple patch job in The Incredibles, she takes things a bit further and creates a new suit! And one for every member of the family, even the baby.

Get it, E!

For The Incredibles 2 movie, Edna will be played once again by director Brad Bird.

I’m guessing he had too much fun with this character from the first movie – she just had to be in The Incredibles 2 movie as well.

That and all the Pixar Incredibles fans might riot if she wasn’t!

I love this video so much- there’s a lot to chew on right here!

I know Helen may not love it, but the new suit works for me. Even if it’s not designed by E (oh my gosh- don’t tell her I said that!).

This just promises to be fun with more Edna Mode in The Incredibles 2 movie!

The Incredibles 2 Movie

From Disney/Pixar:

In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
