Halloween at Disney: Magic Kingdom Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt
Starting soon Halloween at Disney will be in full swing with decorations galore. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is back, and you can enjoy the Halloween decorations without a party ticket! Here’s a Main Street, USA Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt for you to play during your Magic Kingdom trip.
Halloween at Disney World
It’s no secret amongst my friends and family that Halloween is my personal favorite time of year in the parks.
The weather starts to change in Florida, it’s Epcot Food & Wine Festival, villains are celebrating, and pumpkins are around every corner.
I’m as basic as they come with my Halloween Mickey ears, yoga pants and PSL’s.
Usually, I take on Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in full-on planning mode.
I’m a local annual passholder so my priorities are always trick or treating, getting rare character photos and seeing the fireworks and parade (Boo To You gets stuck in my head for DAYS y’all).
Rides, Schmides – I can do those any time.
Last year they continued the fun that they started last year by hosting a few special party surprises at Space Mountain, the Mad Tea Party, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
They even added some new fun in Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor Trick or Treating.
So I’ll make an exception for those while at the party- not that we are having a party this year!
Even though we don’t have MNSSHP to look forward to this year, you can find a delightful surprise on Main Street, USA.
Magic Kingdom Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt at Walt Disney World
As I was leaving on the first night, I noticed the pumpkins glowing above the Main Street shops, all different shapes and sizes with different faces carved in each.
But not all of them had faces, there was one with French Fries, and then I kept looking, one with a hot dog, as well.
I knew if I found a few there had to be more hidden pumpkin “faces”.
Sure enough, there were themed pumpkins all the way down Main Street, USA.
When I returned another night, I made it part of my hit list to look for all the pumpkins I could find and wanted to share this missed detail with everyone.
How To Find the Pumpkins on Main Street, USA at Walt Disney World
Pro-Tip: Main Street is empty from about 8:30 until 9:00.
The first parade starts at 9:15 pm (and takes about 20 minutes to get to the front of the park) but if you want some great empty Main Street pictures, or to walk through the shops without a crowd, then go early when everyone has run to candy and rides.
Pro-Tip: look up! Almost all of the pumpkins we put on the Scavenger Hunt List are found up high.
- Hot Dog Pumpkin
- French Fries
- Engagement Ring
- Rest Room Pumpkin
- Fire Hydrant
- Dalmatian Dog Spotted Pumpkin
- Lollipop
